Too bad, it could have been much better
the story might have had something, but the narration was not good, Hard to follow the staccato delivery and fake emotions not fitting the situation in the story.

I was very disapointed
This was a complete waist of time. The Narrator sounded like a robot and was very distracting, the premises of the story was OK but that characters were completely lame, and the dialog was sophomoric at best, I like this genre, so I was disappointed!

What a waste and the narrator was monotone
The Narrator's monotone and nasally voice grated on my nerves and the "Witty" colonel was nothing more than a sexist douchebag. I couldn't stand him. He has 5 days to go before he launches on a rescue mission to try and save a stranded crew and salvage an alien space craft and he is busy throwing around his weight, lying to his #1 and ordering her to get drunk so he can take her back home and sleep with her. The characters are horrible, the narration is horrible, the book is horrible. I could not finish it. I could not even make it to the point where they left Earth.
