About this listen

This stand-alone novel follows James and Stacy Sanders as they find themselves in the middle of several catastrophic natural disasters. Stranded on an extinct Pacific Volcano in the Solomon Islands, they encounter an earthquake, followed by its tsunami. With little hope of being rescued as a distant volcano spews, the two work together to find food, water, and shelter while attempting to rekindle their marriage. They quickly discover that teamwork and close communication are a priority if they plan to survive. Their scuba diving skills and extensive knowledge of World War II history keep them one step ahead of the forces of Mother Nature and a relentless cold-blooded killer. As they struggle through one problem after another, their marriage vows of ‘For better or worse’ become a reality.

S.O.S. is what my father would have called – a “humdinger of a page-turner,” and I agree. There are abundant cliffhangers, and heartwarming love interludes as the good couple finds one another. The action is fast, and I stayed up later than I usually do in the evening, fascinated with what was coming next. S.O.S. is a “good read,” my favorite tip-if-the-hat for a book that thoroughly entertained me. Stan Waterman

S.O.S. is a hard to put down, enjoyable thriller set in the stunning location of the Solomon Islands. It has something for everyone with interesting characters, fast-paced action, good guys, bad guys, natural disasters, romance, humor, and scuba diving! S.O.S. will keep you turning the pages to find out what happens next. Kellie Oldfield
