Not only a great read for those interested in learning the art of self reliance but an excellent book that connects us to use the resources provided to us by the natural world. Not only are the techniques use, but I have utilized them to teach others in the art and have provided me with skills I use when I hit the trails. We often dont make the connection between the products on the shelves and all the plants that they come from. You will never look at the natural world the same again, you will begin to see tools, food and medicine all around you!

Must read for the outdoor enthusiast!!

this book replace the US Army survival manual as my main go to book and basis of my education.. it is an excellent resource for anybody whether you're experienced or not I must say though that I own the book in paperback and audiobook and much of the book is lost in the audio much we need to see and be able to reference back to what is being discussed

this should be one of your main resources

One of my all time fave non fiction books from my childhood, Great to listen on audible, but recommend a pocket guide as well!

Read this as a kid, great classic of survival!

Content of the book is good, but the narrator has an English dialect that is rather challenging.

Dialect can be challenging

This is more like the bullet points off a survival PowerPoint presentation. Definitely not what I was expecting.

Not really a survival guide.

I listened to this in its entirety because I paid for it but I was highly underwhelmed. Personally, I ALWAYS caught it when the narrator would say E-G, instead of example or for example. I also disliked the fact that there's no pdf to show some of the material he describes, such as knot tying. Dave Canterburys book has a decent one. Overall for this book I truly feel that other than a few decent tips/tricks here and there this should be called "Basic stuff to obviously know" in a survival situation.

Wouldn't call this "The Ultimate Guide"
