DNF the narration and sound quality SUCK

I'm gonna have to read this the old fashion way. the narration was horrible and the acoustics... I couldn't get through the first chapter.

This would be a better read than listen.

I liked the story Idea. The self deprecation jobs that these characters did on themselves, truly began to irritate. Also their lack of communication was frustrating. The sound quality of parts of this narration were poor. "I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review."

Good Listen

Typically I do not listen to many MC books, but I was intrigued by this one. I could envision so much of this book (maybe its from watching Sons of Anarchy). I thought the narrator did a great job with his characters and performance. Aly and Jace seemed to go well together, although Aly seemed a little weak. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. I was glad that the ending turned out the way it, without giving away spoilers, it could have gone several directions.

loved it!!

I absolutely loved this book! there were parts i rolled my eyes because of how sweet some of these guys were, but that's one of the things i loved about them too!! i really liked that she had enough and started standing up for herself and changed what she was willing to accept and unwilling to accept for her life, and wasn't going to settle.

Mediocre, at best

First things first, as a fan of Sons of Anarchy, I was excited to listen to a MC based romance. The story was good, the characters were decent and I enjoyed the plot. HOWEVER, the narration was SO bad…it made this book increasingly difficult to listen to. The voices were horrible, the audio quality was poor and you could tell there were spots that were recorded separately and edited in very poorly. The narration was monotone and lacked any kind of enthusiasm or emotion for the story, and makes me hard pressed to want to continue with the series. I’ll give book two a try, but can’t make any promises.

Enjoyed the story

I thought at first here we go again a lot of sex and cursing but no plot. As I continued to listen the story began to unfold and became enjoyable. Jace (Trig) and Ally make a great couple. They are instantly attracted to each other but circle around each other for about a quarter of the book while the author does some world and character building. The narrator was very good. Loved how the ex-husband got his just desserts. I often wonder how parents can treat their own children like the father did his and all in the name of making more money that he can't possibly spend.

Narration detracted from overall enjoyment

This was a new author for me. The story was good if somewhat predictable. However I would not recommend this book strictly because of the narrator. He does not have the voice to narrate a book like this, maybe he would be better suited for something more low key and sedate. There were several areas where he must have made errors in his reading where they tried to insert the correct verbiage but the volume and tone of the narrator were so different it sounded like a different person. I’m not a new audible reader. I have over 700 books in my library so I have a lot of listening hours logged.

Hell Rider Series are absolutely a must read!

Running Wild

Aly is a rich girl that has an overbearing father and Aly has always done what her father wanted, the job he wanted her to do and even getting ready to marry the man her father wants her to. Even after Aly finds Wyatt cheating on her, her father still wants her to marry him because he would be an asset to him and his company. Having had enough, Aly packs a bag & jumps on a plane to Ty (her brother) the one person she can always count on. Once she arrives, she goes to the garage where he works but is told that he does not work there, but they are willing to give her a ride anywhere she wants...in walks Ty and his best friend Jace. Ty being the protective brother tells all his "brothers" that Aly is off limits. Jace and Aly feel a spark but Jace won't act on it because of Ty. In walks Aly's ex who isn't about to let Aly go, this brings Jace & Aly closer together and after 1 kiss...all bets are off.
Can't wait to read the next one.

Trying to listen to, not sure I can finish....

I think it's a good story? But doubt I'll finish or keep, the narration is horrible.
