Love this world & the voices!!!

Why am I not seeing more people talk about this book?? I absolutely LOVED the setting and the magic system. I didn't want to stop listening. The tension between the main characters was fire!!

Let's talk about the voices! Both narrators are incredible storytellers and were the perfect choices for this audiobook. I neeeeed the next one ASAP!

Vast story, rich characters

Highly recommend for your wife or your lady friends.
Story sometimes goes back between the male and female protagonist, even for the same scene which adds a layer of depth I really enjoyed.
I was worried that magic would be a crutch or something to pull out in case of emergency as a new power but this wasn’t the case. Every use of magic or skill was very organic and not forced in any way.
I also enjoyed the way the relationship between the couple grew! Thoroughly enjoyed the journey 🙂

Narration

The narrators did a fantastic job telling the story! Looking forward to book two to see where Morgana’s character arc progresses.

I tried 😪 I truly tried!

DNF'd! Seriously, I tried to read this book. I was listening to the audiobook and just had to stop, as I just wasn't following it's content. I blamed Jacci Prior as her vocal performance droned on and on like an angry bumblebee... After reading some other books I girded my loins and picked up the ebook and tried again getting about 60% into thestory, while that helped with all the continuity, it did little to fix a book that I just didn't like. I didn't much like anyone, but Morgana was the worst.
