Exciting new series
This is an intriguing start to a new series. Having enjoyed several of Donna Grant’s I was excited to jump back into her world of magic and dragons and this book did not disappoint. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series.

Rising Sun
The Dark Universe is growing and I love it so much. Zora is such a mystery still even with what the Dragon Kings have found so far. Getting the know the elves is going to be so much fun. Yasmin is a human who has been through hell because of the elves. Ravi is a sun elf whose new mission is to stop others from starting a yard with the dragons. I think my favorite part of this book was Dain. I have a feeling I am going to be waiting on pins and needles for his book. Excellent story
Once again Donna Grant told a story full of adventure and intrigue. All the lead characters are well developed and therefore I am excited about the next book in this series.

Just okay
Glad I bought on sale. It was slow at times. I think maybe the second will be better. Will wait until in sale though. I think the performance was a bit of a turn off. The male doing the female voice turned me off. Something about the way he did her was off. Rest I liked.

Fantastic spinoff series!
This is the first book in a new spinoff series from Donna Grant focusing on the elves living on Zora. It can be read without reading the previous series but if you have then you will love seeing some returning characters. Donna is a master at world building and crafting a compelling adventure story with the budding live story at the heart of it all. Shane East was absolutely brilliant and really brought this incredible story and these colorful characters to life. Definitely worth a credit and I am anxiously awaiting the next in the series.

Wow!
This may be the most intense book I’ve ever read of Donna’s! I was so invested in the MFC and her past. Some of the things that happened were absolutely horrible. I wanted to throttle the MMC because he refused to admit to himself what she meant to him. I’m so looking forward to the next book with that ending I know it will be wild! The narrator did a decent job.

Absolutely Fantastic!
This book has it all!!! A great storyline, filled with action, adventure, intrigue and life changing love. The characters are multi faceted. It gives a better view and understanding of Zora and is the perfect tie-in to my beloved Dragon Kings. The superb narration transports you to Zora where you become part of the story. I very very highly recommend this book.

Meh
Nothing special. The development is weak and the characters are weak. I usually love Shane East, but he fell flat for this book. Maybe it was because the book was weak?

It’s a romance novel
If you like romance novels with the utterly predictable angst over does she love me, does he love me until you wanna hit your head against the wall,, then you will enjoy this. As romance novels go it’s well written. But it’s a romance novel. It also has quite a lot of gratuitous violence and torture, and lots of endless sexual fantasizing.
So don’t be fooled. It’s not a fantasy novel. That’s just the setting.
