Everyone Knows But You

This was a good book from beginning to end. I thought it was very enjoyable. It was one of the “Deals of the Day”

Understated and very worth the time

Well written, beautifully crafted. Not a "fun" nor "funny" book... a piece of "real" life. This was my story for a Sunday afternoon when all alone. I found it completely worth the 6 hours of time plus those quiet moments in memory. (And I'd like to find someone with whom to discuss it.) YMMV, but the understated narration was absolutely perfect once I got over my thinking it "should be" different.

It was a struggle

The narrator did not do it for me. I often drifted and didn't pay attention. It's an OK story albeit predictable.

Liked the characterizations, plot and scenes. Felt Maine, hope this is the beginning of a series.

This story made me feel like I was in the islands! Great descriptions and characters. It moved along at a perfect pace. Kept my interest till the end.

I bought this audiobook based on great reviews. I thought it was a very mediocre murder mystery story. The narration was flat and kind of annoying. In the end it was a pleasant listen but unimpressive

Masterfully Written

I am a huge fan of this author’s non-fiction, and know him to be a gifted writer. I was excited to read this new work of fiction, and in particular with the inclusion of Maine as a “character” in the story. The detail, and visuals he paints are transporting. I highly recommend this book and look forward to more fiction from him - hopefully soon! Finally, the narration was terrific too!

Story & characters & setting drew me in

I really liked the story - it drew me in. I hope there will be sequels. Characters are interesting; good backstories. Setting is wonderful. It took me about an hour to adjust to narrator; kind of gritty voice put me on edge at first. After I adjusted I can honestly say I hope he will read any sequels as well. Recommend!

Beautifully written

Great, believable characters in a terrific setting. Nice mix of mystery and ambience. Hope this story continues!
