I wish there was more!

Very short with a lot of satisfying progression from a newbie adventure to a baron dictator (a nice dictator) that's not to complicated to understand, its like a game! Tt ends on a cliff hanger though so that was disappointing but I think there might be more. Idk. I should probably look it up.

Great book but...

This book was great! the world building was a bit intense with a lot of information all at once but I am hoping that it is setting things up for a sequel. My only qualm with this book is I wish it were longer! I can't wait for the next book if there is going to be one!

A great story with a slight issue

I love the LitRPG genre and have read many others I will preface saying that I prefer to both read and listen to professional narration at the same time. The story is wonderful the characters interesting and compelling but as I was listening while reading there was an all too frequent issue where it seemed like maybe the author reworked it to shorten some descriptions or maybe gave the narrator a slightly different copy, honestly I thought the audio script version was superior but the disconnect was a jarring ejection from story immersion. One way or another the author needs to fix the file with Amazon or maybe pay a ton of unnecessary money to have it re-recorded. Either way I recommend this version highly and the ebook version less.

Thumbs up

Refreshing twist on a genre that often overlaps. Interesting character build. If you enjoy "hopping to other world" books, you will like this one.

Steampunk at its Finest

This book was fantastic. A magical realm where steam drops from adventuring. Bradley is someone who seems realistic with his flaws that he improves upon. I enjoyed the epic tale with its grand times.

a nice change in RPG lit

I like the fact that the story didn't have erotic scenes throughout it but it focused more on the stories and growing the character

Meh, rushed with no danger.

it started out fine even though the MCs self description didn't bode well. but he didn't act like he did in his previous life so fine.

Everything felt rushed though. Some sections just get glossed over even though those situations could have been used for character development. The ending is super rushed and incredibly anti-climactic. The last battle felt like there was no danger.
The MC also gets carried through most battles and even when the enemy is really dangerous, he pretty easily kills them despite being incredibly weak and not really growing in power all that much. The stats seem useless in the story.

Premise is interesting and the story could have been so much more but fell a bit flat and ended as a meh.

Enjoyable

I think the start of the story a little slow but it builds up going further into the story I would like to have the next book on audio out already either audible or bookfunnel I would buy it once it comes out

Good YA read

There is good character and story building throughout the first installment. The MC is a paladin in all things. He is not OP but ranks up enough not to be too much of a burden to the rest of his group. I really enjoyed the steam punk elements.
