Good points but so-so book

The author shares some good general points to incorporate into life, but the book is just average. If anything, this book is a history book of mountaineering... lots and lots of mountain climbing history facts/stories. This isn’t a bad book at all, it’s just not a great one that I benefited from and am glad I listened and completed.

More of his story less of others

Don has done a lot of amazing things. I would prefer to here more about his stories and how his mind set and approach helped him. Some of the other folks stories used have been used hundreds of times by others.

Don will inspire you to do things you didn’t know you could do; a must-read

I absolutely loved listening to this on Audible. This book is that push of encouragement you need to harness the strength to run towards your challenges head on, crush your goals and reach far beyond what you ever imagined yourself to be capable of. This book inspires me every day to do push harder, go farther and is a reminder to not let a little discomfort stand between me and my goals. I listen to this every morning while I work out or go for a walk and it’s become part of my every day morning routine for inspiration and motivation. It’s a must-read.

Inspiring

Loved this book. Listened to it on the way to Arizona for an IM competition. Helped me push through the dark moments of the race.

Misleading book cover

In a way I enjoyed this book, but honestly, I got it for the SEAL cover and title: ... "A SEAL guide to reach beyond boundaries..."
to my surprise, some times disappointment, this book barely touch on the SEAL life or anecdotes. The authors do make the point on how push yourself beyond your boundaries, but not necessarily through a SEAL experience.

Always hire a professional...

Having the author read his own work was a colossal mistake; poor diction, mispronunciations, and that horrendous Bronx accent made this un-listenable. I will be returning this book.
