About this listen

Politicians and pundits on both sides of the aisle have accused Russia of interfering with our elections and our intelligence agencies. But the war Russia is waging against America is very different from anything you have heard in the press, as Russian-born US intelligence expert Rebekah Koffler reveals.

In Putin’s Playbook, Koffler details how Vladimir Putin is orchestrating a wide-ranging, multifaceted campaign to retake his country’s role as a superpower and to defeat America in the process. Koffler explains the Putin-ordered five-point master plan to defeat America, which includes spies, satellite killers, bombers, lasers, undersea cable cutters, cyber trolls, nuclear missiles, assassinations, and special techniques that Russia uses to distort Americans’ perceptions of reality. Koffler also reveals how Moscow plans to turn our strengths - such as our open, democratic society, the technology that pervades every sphere of our lives, and our aversion to war casualties - into vulnerabilities.

Koffler explores the military components of Russia’s strategy, including its powerful arsenal of conventional and nuclear weapons and the advanced new weaponry unveiled the day after the 2018 Trump-Putin Helsinki summit. She details why Moscow views America’s dependency on satellite technology for military operations as our country’s “Achilles’ heel” and alerts listeners to the newly erected National Center for State Defense, a wartime structure. Finally, there is a discussion of why Moscow violated the US-Russian Intermediate-range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF). The picture is clear, warns Koffler: Putin is mobilizing his country for the “inevitable” war.

Koffler reminds us it’s imperative that the full extent of the Russian threat be revealed, both to those who are increasingly concerned and those who are just beginning to feel uneasy about foreign interference in, and manipulation of, our daily lives. The “warning system”, as Dan Coats, director of National Intelligence, declared, is “blinking red”.

An Important Read, Especially after the 2022 Ukraine War has Browken Out

Rebekah is someone I have met, and she is everything you think when reading this book. Astute, Highly Intelligent, and Honest. The main question she raised in this book about what Russia has always done to America, makes you deeply think about what is at the root of many of your opinions, both politically and socially. And for some, economically. Not to mention so much more about the Government here.

Boring

I wanted to like this account of the Russian leader to gain new insights but it's nothing new if you follow reputable new sources. The author has a clear political bias but my rating is based on the quality and delivery of the content. After three hours I had to throw in the towel. I keep falling asleep and found the cadence of the performance lacking.

Well written, smart, and what we need.

The talking heads hate this book because it's full of what we need to save ourselves from the threats both outside and from within. Written by someone who actually experienced communism and knows the signs of what it looks like, where it comes from, and what it does to a society, this book provides insight into how recognize and deal with such evils.

AMAZING!

This book starkly reminds me of the investigations by the 911 Commission where they ultimately concluded that, "They were at war with us. We weren't at war with them."

I couldn't help but think about the movie, "The Joneses", starring David Duchovny & Demi Moore who play a fake, married couple who marketed a high-end, expensive lifestyle for a marketing firm, by impressing their circle of influence with iving in affluent neighborhoods and purchasing expensive items and brands in order to influence their community to buy those same products thus try, "keeping up with the Joneses."

This movie comes to mind when Rebekah talks about how Russia inserts their illegals into our community and fans the flames of chaos. I would not be surprised to find out someday, Russia was the impetus behind the belief that gender is a social construct which spawned the creation of a hundred plus different genders when we all know, their are only 2. However, repeat a lie long enough, it becomes not only the truth but a commandment.

Great book!!

Very informative

Rebekah has a top notch story to tell. She was screwed over by idiot intelligence and A-hole intelligence administrators. Aside from that her insight into Russian culture and ruling class foreign policy is excellent. If I was her boss on the job I would have stood by her one hundred percent. That unfortunate shenanigan on the plane was totally a set up by DIA operatives. That is my guess and I also think many others have been victimised by these insider scams and plots

Well written and easy to listen to

Provides a great compilation of Putin, his thought process and the US Govts inability to remain on task and focus on certain threats.

Great read!

What an amazing life she has. Getting Screwed by the government is never good, But she got a good few years in and did some very productive work along the way. The amount of detail she was able to publish is very Interesting and very educational.

Best book on Putin and Russian Intel

This has to be the single best book about Putin, and Russian intelligence I have ever read. It delves into the mindset of Russian President Vladimir Putin, as well as, that of the Russian intelligence services and the Russian people themselves.

While it does help to have a good understanding of the Russian intelligence services prior to reading, it is written in such a way that even someone with no prior understanding of Russian Intelligence can follow. Whether you are new to the study of intelligence or an experienced intelligence student, a lot can be learned from this book. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in learning more about President Putin, Russian Intelligence, and the Russian mindset.

This book should be required reading for any student of Russian foreign policy or Russian Intelligence.
