About this listen

Sage is a woman with no time for games. She has teenagers to raise, a business to run and the father of her girls to manage...literally. So, when she goes on a date with JJ and he never calls again, she chalks it up to just another horrible date. Besides, she didn’t like JJ, his dimples, or his muscles covered in tattoos anyway. It’s those little lies that help you get through life!

JJ screwed up and he knows it! He went out with the woman of his dreams and like a moron never called her again. In his defense, life turned crappy right about then so he’s sure she’ll be understanding, it’s not like women hold onto grudges...okay, fine, he’ll need help plus a prayer to get Sage to forgive this colossal mess up.

But their story is far from over. After all, they’ve both been through enough bad times in their lives it’s only fair they get a happily ever after...right? Only trouble is, no one ever said life had to be fair.

Couldn’t stop listening 😂🤣

I enjoyed this book so much. There were serious parts, smexy parts and hilarious parts! I literally did not pause or stop this book once. I love the triplets of doom and all of the death threats! 😂🤣

Loved the book

I read this one without reading any of the other series. It was great, very smooth narrator. Lots of great interaction and story. Great chemistry between the characters.

Take it or leave it

There were a few places in which unnecessary conversations were so long I found myself zoning out. The narration was pretty flat and unnatural sounding... BUT, the end had a twist I didn't see coming and the characters (though unrealistic) were likeable.

JJ and Sage

This is the second book in the series that I have listened to, and all I can say is that every one of the characters are just crazy! I can't believe anyone in real life would act the way they did when faced with a dangerous situation but it did make for an entertaining story. Emily Curtindale did a good job bringing this story to life. I received this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.

Hilarious

I've read this book multiple times so couldn't wait to listen to the audio book. I enjoyed it so much but I do wish JJ had a male narrator other than that I loved it

DNF

Narrator was so bad. Completely monotone and I couldn’t tell the difference between any of the characters which made the story hard to follow. I loved books 1-3 but couldn’t get through this one.

narrator ruined a halfway decent story

Omg the story was pretty cookie cutter although I did feel it was a bit ageist. Don't know the hero's exact age although it was mentioned he was 8 years older than his "first" wife but the "old man" and "older" jabs were getting tired after the first few chapters but that aside, the narrator was terrible and ruined the story for me. She had no acting ability. It was like having a student read a story outloud to the class. The story is supposedly full of humor and teenage quips but honestly everything was read in the same voice. I couldn't even tell the difference between the male voice and the female, let alone different female character or ages. It was basically someone reading a story in the same monotone voice for multiple character with no enthusiasm. Jokes landed flat and what might be funny jabs between friends came off as just mean. This was a total pass. Don't waste your money on the audiobook. Maybe the ebook or physical book might be better. The narrator just ruins it 😓
