About this listen

Shifter and vampire true mates story.

Alek's older brother, Justice - the Alpha Zenith - was the first shifter to mate with a vampire in many generations, and it was believed the rare, fated pairing would stop at him. But, it hadn't. Aleksei "Alek" Volkov was second beta, next in succession to the most powerful shifter in the world. He was proud of his title and he took his duties seriously. It was all he had. Until his true mate literally showed up on his doorstep.

Belleron "Bell" Liatos had come to the states for one reason - his best friend and vampire king, Chadwick Bentley. He certainly didn't come to be pounced on by a wolf that could act independently of its master. Not only was his destined cherished a complicated and confused man, but he was also unaware of the powerful presence that lurked in the shadows of his soul. Bell didn't know he'd be the key to unlocking an exceptional triad that would play a critical role in fulfilling the prophesy.

Contains mature themes.

Almost DNF this book... but still gave it 4 stars?

First let me say I really liked this narrator for this book, the voice goes really well for the story and tone. Also I really liked this story. The author could have added a little more explanation but I really did like it and the first one as well. I will not be reading any others thought. I do not like when a character is “straight” and then is mated to someone of the same sex who then makes then “gay”. The author has already Insinuated that is how the next book is going to go. Plus two charter frequently discuss there Hetero relationships and either the author will do the same or they’re story’s will be left out because she only write MM romance. I do realize this is a personal issue so if that situation doesn’t bother you this is a really good series.

5 Stars

I don’t typically like a second book in a series more than the first but that wasn’t the case here. I really enjoyed the first book and Justice and Wick were adorable but I enjoyed the conflict and dynamic between Bell and Alec (Wrath/Wolf) even more. Excited to read the next!

so excited for this series

Poor Alek. He's so toubled and burdened with something beyond him. He has suffered loss and seemed to have no one to help him. Alek is one of several brothers and a sister that have all been blessed by a goddess but Alek's blessing is also a curse. Belleron is a powerful vampire that has lived many years on his and answering to no one but his king. Bell is perfect for Alek because he is strong and can handle Alek and his "blessings." action packed, a little romance, some hot sex and enough interest that i can hardly wait for the follow-up.

Loved it!

I really enjoyed this one! This one picks up shortly after the last one left off with our issue of Alek and Bell. It was different and deals with a different side to issues of what was happening in the first book. It really pulled me in and I loved the story. I loved getting to see more of Alek's siblings. There was plenty of action and intrigue as we watch these two come together and Alek tries to put his pieces back together. This one was very good and I am really looking forward to the next book in the series.
Narrator did a fantastic job with the voices and personalities and really bringing all of them to life.

Better than the first book

Liked this book more than the first one, however there were times when it dragged on a bit. The dynamic between the 2 MCs (or 4 if you count the multiple personalities/entities inside of Alec) were entertaining. The drama between them was well played out and I liked that Alec grew as a character throughout this book. So did Bell for that matter. Their "opposites attract" relationship was entertaining, especially when they were juxtaposed in their shared activities, like going fishing or to the symphony. But the respect they had for each other was adorable and really made the relationship work. The narrator is pretty good. I wasn't a fan of the way he voiced "yes, yes, yes!" It sounded forced and rigid, but the rest of his narration was fine and kept me emmerced in the story.

Well...my, my, my....

A.E., wow. I adore the way you reach into this story and pull it together. At first I thought, hmmm...slow start. But it doesn't take long for you to dive headlong into a story of shifters and vampires with a brilliant imagination! And the sex. my, my, my...I feel a need to say thank you for that alone. I like a story with a lot of story, and admittedly, you did a lot of sex in this one, but it fit and dang...hot and hot and hot. Bravo. All I can say is...git' to writin' more!

Troy, wow. You are these characters. It could not have been more perfect.

Listener, get the first one and listen to it to get a good background, but you could get away with starting with this one. And get ready for a ride into shifters and vampires most haven't even thought of. Alphas, DemiGods, Royal Vampires...well...gird your loins and get ready for a pretty intense ride.
