omg I just can't with that ending
first of all how dare you end it that way when I have to go to bed? second of all I'm chomping at the bit for the next book. this book had me rolling through most of it but that end? ripped my heart out you cannot do this to me you brilliant amazing person. lastly the performance of the narrators is just amazing love both of them but Troy is the reason I gave this book a shot in the first place. so glad I did. sleep is for the weak.

A Wonderful New Series
L. Rose is a new author for me and I have to say, I am impressed. This book caught my attention immediately and Paige is awesome. The humor she finds in everything is awesome. As usual, Troy and Althea are amazing. Troy’s voice alone is orgasmic in my opinion. If you haven’t read this book, do it now. You will be so happy that you did.

Entertaining but not my favorite
I think other reviews have mentioned this, but this book feels like only part of the story. So much effort is made in introducing all of the characters and getting them to the location that nothing really happens, and then the book ends in a cliffhanger. Since I know the trilogy is concluded, I can say that it would likely have been better received had all three books been released as a giant standalone novel.
As far as the narration, it is done in dual-style, which is ok. The way the male narrator voiced the females was annoying, but that is often the case in male-narrated books, where they make the females sound whiny. Otherwise, I felt the female narrator did well.

Very creative story
I enjoyed the way the author wrote the story. It had some nice twists and turns. Even though it's a dark story I found myself laughing out loud alot.
