Slow burn….

I appreciated the storyline and found it to be quite engaging, especially as it evoked a sense of realism. While I do think Whitney embodies some idealized traits of the all-American girl, my main concern lies with the narration. Implementing dual narration or giving the narrator a broader range to depict different characters could enhance the overall experience. This change might allow for a more nuanced exploration of each character's perspective. I look forward to listening to the next two books when available. I want to see how the relationship evolves.

Forbidden romance

Professor is the first book in the Result of Tomorrow series. Please beware of the cliffhanger. This is a forbidden relationship and slow burn romance. Whitney and Rhys meet and can’t stop thinking of the other person. They try to deny the attraction until they just can’t anymore. And then, well welcome to the cliffhanger. This story was narrated beautifully by Michelle Thompson. She did a wonderful job portraying all characters.

Cliffhanger, but it's going to be a great series!

Professor is book #1 in the Result of Tomorrow series. This is a new author for me and I definitely liked the story. Whitney is a socialite wanting to be something other than arm candy. Rhys wants a change in his lifestyle so he accepts a teaching job. These two are completely attracted to each other, but off-limits. This is an EXTREMELY slow-burn, professor/student romance. I have a single star for the spice because when it starts to get good, when they finally decide to act on their passion...BAM, cliffhanger. AGH!!!! So now I'm not-so-patiently waiting for book #2.

The narrator is new to me and she did a good job with inflection and pronunciation. I do wish she had more of a difference in her male voice vs regular voice. Sometimes it was a little hard to keep up, but it didn't keep me from binging this to the end.

Delightful!

A brilliant student on a path to her masters degree and a one-year tenured professor, taking a break from archaeological dives, literally run into each other in the halls of Gatlington University. Professor Rhys Ellis didn't know what he was expecting, but it was nothing like Whitney Dahl. She is among the elite of the school due to her pedigree within the circle of billionaire moguls, but she fights the confines of a life predetermined by her parents and their life status. She is starting to make decisions based on what she wants, and what she wants is Professor Rhys Ellis. Rhys can't stop thinking about her but can't take that last step because it could mean the end of her educational dreams and his career. I have to admit that I got a little bit annoyed with Rhys and how he fairly invalidated her when he continued to turn her away. This book ends on a cliffhanger and the next part can't get here fast enough!
The narration is spot on by Michelle Williams Thompson. Her dynamic voice, varied intonation and inflection gave each character a unique voice and personality. She kept the pace steady and it was a joy to listen to her bring the story to life.

The story was good. The performance was excellent. The only thing I disliked was the ending.

Very enjoyable and easy to understand this storyline. Very well done well narrated and written. Definitely recommend this book.
