Perfection!

I usually don’t listen to much of audiobooks but since I love reading Pretty When She Cries, I just had to listen to Landon sexy voice. And oh man it doesn’t disappoints love how his personality, his voice comes to live and you feel more of his emotions of both of them of what they have gone through. It was perfection what this two narrators did for Kailani and Landon characters.

Wow, definitely recommend! There were so many twist and turns I did not see coming! I wouldn’t put this under dark romance but the components are there along with all different feels along the way! Glad I came across this book and this author! The narrators were absolutely amazing as well!

I really enjoyed this story. I usually don’t read books about young adults but I was interesting. The narrators did a great job.

Crazy High School Drama

A. Zavarelli is an author that I will grab her book/ audiobook without even knowing what it's about, she writes amazing characters that draw me in and the plots keep me hooked from the very beginning. I read this in one day because I just couldn't put it down, I needed to know everything that happened and crossed my fingers the entire time that Landon and Kailani would get their HEA!

Landon and Kailani started off as tentative friends turned enemies, but even when they were enemies they could never really destroy each other like they hoped. This wasn't a typical bully type romance, Zavarelli really showed the struggle Kailani had with trying to take Landon down... she hates him but she can't seem to be the one to destroy him. I think Landon and Kailani are some of my favorite characters, Kailani was so innocent at the beginning but watching her struggle with the hatred that took over and the revenge she was planning was tough. I loved that Landon hated her for what she did in the past but he couldn't stop protecting protecting her... they really were magnets! The angst and heartbreak was in every page and every character, what happened two years ago didn't just affect Landon and Kail, so many side characters had secrets and have struggled moving past the guilt they felt over everything. I absolutely loved that facts weren't just thrown out at us from the beginning, we were led to believe a certain event took place but neither Kail or Landon really knew what happened so it was a guessing game the entire time! Pretty When She Cries moved well beyond the typical mean girl click that always seems to come up in high school romance (seriously, when did it become a typical occurrence in high schools?), Audrey was seriously off the rails!

I read this story a year and a half ago when it came out and loved it so I had to grab the audiobook when it released. Both Stefanie Kay and Neill Thorne were new to me but they both did an amazing job narrating Kail and Landon, not to mention the crazies who went to Black Mountain Academy!

4.5 Pineapple Stars!

4.5 Pineapple Stars. Wow! What a roller coaster ride! This bully trope will definitely put you through the ringer! Two wrecked souls, Landon and Kailani, trying to right a wrong. Their journey will be filled with attraction, jealousy, revenge and most importantly love. I was hooked from the beginning to the end. I highly recommend this listen. The narration is fantastic!

A. Zavarelli never fails me!

Zavarelli wrote such an angsty ya/na read. I floved it! Stefanie Kay and Neill Thorne has taken this romantic suspense and elevated it with their performance. The twists and turns were spectacular and I couldn't turn this one off! The push and pull is captivating! This is such a great audiobook.

This book was okay, over all I think this was a 4⭐️ The things that the villain got away with was astounding. The fact that all of these people followed them and did everything that they wanted them to do to hurt the FMC. The mom too, like WTH?! She was a nightmare! I wish there was more of the summer they spent together than what was given it seemed to be pretty fast paced imo. Overall I would recommend if you’re looking for a fast paced book with a decent plot.

From beginning to end I was captivated with every single detail! This book definitely shows you what a sorted and cruel world it can be. Every moment had me glued to my headphones needing to know more and more! The narrators brought it to life perfectly and made me feel every emotion even more heightened! Loved this book and audio so much!
