About this listen

Do you have a child in need of prayer and intercession to live a better life?

I know from experience that even with the most wholesome upbringing and respectable parenting, some kids insist on doing wrong, and are tempted to lie, steal, and cheat because of the way their brains are wired. There comes a time when you realize prayer may be the most powerful action left to take. You've done it all, but now it's time to give them the tools of prayer to overcome their weaknesses. This book takes specific Scriptures from the book of Proverbs, for each day of a month, and turns them into prayers, from either the child's or the parent's perspectives.

You'll have God's Word to pray over their lives after listening in to Proverbs from various paraphrased versions of the Bible. If this is something you'd like to add to your child's life, download now!

Pause for reflectionwith these powerful verses!

The book of Proverbs has always been my favorite book of the bible. It is packed with wisdom, comforting words, insight, and such peace.

The author has coupled these powerful verses with brief prayers and soothing background music. The author adds further value by cross-referencing some of those verses with other biblical texts. In addition, there are prompts – interesting questions to consider in a powerful study of the word. I feel these verses are appropriate to study with a “difficult child” but also they can be used as a daily study of the word in your endeavor to enhance your life and that of others.

Powerful and Uplifting!

I am a firm believer that there is nothing better that we can do as parents for our children than to pray for them and with them. As the book description states, when dealing with a difficult child, "prayer may be the most powerful action left to take." I've always thought of Proverbs as the OG personal development book. What I love most about this book is that it takes specific Scriptures from the book of Proverbs for each day of a month and turns them into prayers from either the child's or the parent's perspectives.

Pray the Proverbs: With My Difficult Child is a powerful and uplifting book that provides solace, strength, and guidance to parents navigating the unique challenges of raising a difficult child. With its heartfelt prayers and insightful reflections, this book offers a spiritual companion for parents seeking support and encouragement in their journey of parenting.

What sets this book apart is its emphasis on faith and spirituality. The book encourages parents to lean on their faith and seek guidance through prayer as they navigate the challenges of parenting a difficult child. The prayers are not only a source of strength but also a reminder of the importance of self-care, patience, and unconditional love.

What the family needs!

Really loved this. This book really nails it when it comes to praying for those challenging kiddos. What's cool is how the author dives into specific scriptures from Proverbs and takes you on a month-long journey of daily prayers. The prayers are presented from both the kid's and the parent's perspective, which brings this incredible connection to God's Word and how it applies to their lives. Different versions of the Bible that are rephrased, giving these prayers some serious depth and making them relatable and easy for kids to grasp. Highly recommend!

Great for praying with and for difficult children

This book has been a great tool. I have read Proverbs many times, but I still found this book helpful for focusing specifically. on praying with and for difficult children. I like how she draws upon specific scriptures from the book of Proverbs and provides a month-long journey of daily prayers. These prayers, presented from both the child's and the parent's perspectives, offer a profound connection to God's Word and its relevance to the child's life. The use of various paraphrased versions of the Bible adds depth and insight to the prayers, making them relatable and accessible to children.

Simple yet powerful

This is a great way to establish a devotional routine with your child, as well as showing them how to change the trajectory of their behavior. The verse choices were great, and encouraging the parent and child to each have their Bible was a great touch. By including note taking and reading along, this makes it easier for the scripture to stick.

This does more than just guide the child - it is also a wonderful way of getting closer to your child through devotion.
