About this listen

Soccer goalkeeper Jaden Sloup has his eye on Ella Kennedy, a woman who won’t date jocks or frat boys. He dons a pair of nerd glasses and hugs a laptop to convince her he’s a techno geek, and she agrees to go to with him to a cosplay convention in Las Vegas, where his team’s playoff game happens to be.

Jaden must juggle sizzling in the sheets with Ella against a soccer match and hanging with his frat-brother teammates. When a bully harasses Ella and challenges Jaden to a fight, he proves even a goalie can score.

Jaden and Ella are friends of Jax and Kimber from Dani Evan's hottest new adult romance - a story of obsession, passion, and surrender. Will you be the next contestant?

Soccer and Geeks!

The story was very unique. Bringing the geek world and soccer and to one place. The climax clip be better but over all it was a great story. The best thing was the two narrators that I always enjoy.

Good story.. excellent narration.

This story was kind of surprising to me. I liked the story and enjoyed listening to Tor Thom and Charley Ongel.

The main characters were easy to like.. Jaden the player and Ella the nerd fit together quite well. The story was a little hard to follow for me only because I don’t know the characters they are representing when they play act. I don’t know who the Lightening character is.

Don't judge on appearances

Jaden is a soccer player and Ella is more of a techie girl. They meet at a party and since Ella doesn't like sports jocks or players, Jaden pretends to be a techie, too. Jaden isn't planning on falling in love with Ella, just dating her until the next girl comes along. Ella really starts to fall in love with Jaden. Things come to a crossroads when Ella needs saving. Will Ella forgive Jaden for not admitting that he's a soccer player? Will Jaden be able to save Ella and finally admit his feelings?
This is a short book but it does pack a lot into it. I really like the duet narration of Charley Ongel and Tor Thom. It brings so much more into the story when the female reads the female and the male reads the male -- almost like a play. Rachelle Ayala has written another wonderful book.

Quick Listen

While I love these narrators and think they did a great job I was not overly fond of the story. I found it difficult to relate to the characters and at some points just difficult to follow the story. If you are looking for a quick listen with a story that doesn't get you too involved this wouldn't be a bad go to

Rachelle Ayala has given us another steamy little novella.

Jaden is everything Ella doesn’t want... a jock and a frat boy... he decides to hide his true identity and play the roll of nerdy geek. Ella definitely likes the nerdy geek but when she discovers who he really is, will that be the end of their budding romance?

Fun Short Story. This is a sweet Love Story where the geek and the soccer world collide. Jayden and Ella are cute characters. The narration was well done as always with Tor Thom and Charley Ongel. I received this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

ROMCOM

I enjoyed this book. I could really picture all the costumes they wore for the party and Comic-Con. I could feel her fear during the kidnapping. Tor and Charley really bought the characters to life.

A Soccer Romance

I was entertained by this romantic story. I liked that the story was contemporary in that it involved characters who were interested in attending a cosplay convention. I wasn't a fan of how Jaden, the male protagonist, felt that it was acceptable to hide who he really was, but it was understandable since the female protagonist was so against dating jocks. I thought Tor Thom's and Charley Ongel's dual narrations added emotional nuances with their skillful performances. I was gifted a copy of the audiobook. I volunteered, without financial gain, to post this review which included my honest opinions regarding this story.

Exciting!

Tor Thom and Charley Ongel really hit a home run with this one. They know how to suck you right into the stories! Jaden was a Korean and he had been adopted. He was a soccer goal keeper. Ella would not date a jock, so he put on a pair of glasses so he could look like a nerd so she would date him. He invited her to Vegas with him and everything went to pot! I loved it!

Fun & Flirty Story

As usual this book was great. I’ve listened to numerous books by Rachelle Ayala and they’re always good. This is a fun and fast college love story. Ella is a dancer and by all accounts a pretty popular girl so she sees how jocks and frat boys go through girls like they’re nothing; which is why she doesn’t date that kind of guy. Jaden is a soccer star and frat boy but he wants a chance with Ella so he convinces his frat brother’s girlfriend to introduce them. He’s even gone as far as renting out his room at the fraternity so he can live in the dorms for a while to convince Ella that’s he the tech nerd she wants him to be. The only problem is she catches on to who he really is and he doesn’t even know it. This is a really great short story that holds your attention from the start and keeps it until the end. Since it’s not that long of a book I obviously listened to it all at once but I found myself wishing the book was longer. If you’re looking for a fun, cute romance book I definitely recommend this one.

Both the narrators were great too! Neither one of them did anything to distract you from the story. The reading was smooth and flawless.

I was provided a free copy of this book at my request for my honest and unbiased review.
