As Nicky Hector—the unstoppable slasher from the Lunatic horror movie franchise—Jonathan Zain reached levels of fame once unimaginable to a young actor. On top of headlining fifteen films, he appeared on MTV, had his own 976 number, and became one of the most recognizable faces of the 1980s. But that was thirty years ago. I absolutely love this wicked and brutal story! We've always heard the saying, "Beauty is Pain," and this book takes that quote literally. This audio version was super fun to listen to. I have previously read the physical book.
Plastic Monsters follows Pam, a woman who obsesssed with what she considers is the beauty standard. From an early age she realized she did not quite look like her fellow female classmates with perfect skin and perky bre@sts. After taking a deep and cold dive into her need to be prettier than the queen C U Next Tuesday (AKA Ashley) something that is an "accident" happens to Ashley which makes her much less easy in the eyes. After Pam grows up we learn she is stillll obsessed with beauty and this time goes to the most extreme thing she can think of to acheive her perfect self.

Great story
This was a great and completely engaging story. The narrator did a great job of bringing the tale to life and I was saddened when it ended. Definitely worth checking out!

Needlessly sexual
Warning to anyone who reads it's very sexual basically the whole book, if your not into that I'm your horror this won't be for you. Other then that it was a good book with a nice ending.
