Ritvit has a problem.
The last twenty years he’d spent on earth were the best years of his life. And that was saying something, seeing as he’d lived in the lap of luxury his entire life. Still, he’d known that he couldn't keep working for Intergalactic Rescue forever and that his father was going to retire from the head of the family business someday. He’d simply expected a little more of a head’s up that he needed to pack up his Earthly affairs and head back to Polonia to take over.
Marcus was at a loss.
When the board voted to accept the hostile takeover bid, he’d known his days as CEO were numbered. It stung, as the company had headhunted him specifically to turn their fortunes around and he had. A little too well, it seemed. Still, at least he had a fantastic severance package and some sweet Littles at the club he could spoil a bit. Maybe now he’d have the time and ability to see about taking things further and find himself his own exclusive Boy to cherish at home while exploring options on starting his own business.

Maybe I have an overactive imagination, but the hot guy next door totally gives off serial killer vibes. Why else would he know how long it takes to bleed out from a wound? Yeah, ok, so I asked, but it was research. Being an author definitely makes for some odd questions (someone had better clear my browser history when I die, that's all I'm saying). It's not like I'm stalking my hot neighbor or anything—there's nothing wrong with watching him out my window. Although I might have my own stalker (and not the cute harmless kind), which is kind of terrifying.

Ash is technically a fire mage, but he can't do much. Turning his bedroom lights on and off without having to get out of bed isn't exactly awe inspiring, not when anyone with the right gadget could clap and do the same thing. Worse, sometimes he senses something bigger and brighter lurking under his skin, and it feels so familiar he knows it has to be his magic, but then he burps or sneezes, and the feeling passes.
