About this listen

A sweet and swoony contemporary Young Adult novel about a cross-country family road trip that puts one girl and her childhood best friend on an unexpected road to romance!

Norah Simons’s summer road trip is going to be absolutely perfect. She’s leaving California for the first time in her life. She’s interviewing at her dream college (the place for future video game animators). And she’s reconnecting with her childhood friend, Skyler Hutton—the boy who taught her to draw, the boy she’s never forgotten about after all these years. What could go wrong?

Cue the RV filled with three siblings, two moms, one bathroom, and years of memories, and suddenly this trip isn’t quite the vacation Norah was hoping for—especially when Skyler makes it clear he would rather be anywhere but here. But Norah isn’t one to give up without a fight. And as the families travel from desert heat to mountain vista, sparks begin to fly between these two ex-best friends—after all, friendship doesn’t just fade away. Does it?

Kasie West delivers another romantic and heartfelt story of family, first love, and how expanding your horizons can take you places you’ve never dreamed of.

I really liked it. However, I just found Norah's mom (parents really shouldn't do that) and Willow's drunken comments really off.

Almost perfect

I love all of her books they make me happy and they fill me with joy. It’s a good story when you know that they are best friends and it’s even better story when you can tell that one Likes the other over the other just doesn’t know how to show their emotions. This is the kind of story that people dream of happening do we know if they’ll make it in the long run no and that’s the best part is that we can imagine what will happen next.

Keep up the good stories

Another perfect listen!!! I love the Kasie West makes male characters with actual personality and character development. They are just hot guys. She makes deep connections between her characters and I find it very fulfilling to listen to. If you like this book, I really recommend her book Life, Love and the List!!!

Kasie- if you’re reading this I would REALLY love a good ol’ boy next door love story!! And please make these books longer. I can’t get enough 😀

Kasie West does it again!!

The story is cute and charming however the ending was rushed through and glossed over. There could have easily been a couple more chapters to dive into the emotions and dealing that are missing in the end. Plus you never hear what the Dean thought about her word vomit in the end. Could have been an incrediblely powerful statement. Instead I t’s completely left out. The ending could have been so much more powerful had those real feeling been dealt with and not ignored and skipped over. I felt like the author build this story of love mistrust and hurt to just leave the read completely abandoned with a weak epilogue.

Ending need work.

Well, That was a complete and utter disappointment for me .. I mean .. what happened ? is this a real Kasie West book ?
The story is about Norah who is very excited to spend her summer vacation with her family in an RV and with her mom's friend and most of all Skyler, her former childhood friend, but now they are "grown up" and for some reason Skyler have a chip on his shoulder and is being a jerk, the story takes place during those three weeks in an RV where Norah and Skyler find their way back together
I really REALLY didn't care about Norah and Skyler and their endless drama, each one is trying to make a problem to make it the other's fault .. and there is a "secret" on why did this trip happen and it was so brushed off and it was such unnecessary drama !!
also, Ty deserved better than this, he is a good person and deserved a better treatment than this ..in fact, I wish if he was the MC than Skyler because he was more original
really disappointed and let down on this book, I still have hope for future writing from Kasie but this one definitely wasn't for me

What Was That ??

I love all of Kasie West's books and have read all multiple times (except the last one - haven't had time yet!) but this one was definitely the weakest. I didn't really like the main character, and as a female gamer myself, just felt everything was off. The plot of the book was great, I just didn't love the journey.

Meh
