He is best known for his famous short story Pigs Is Pigs, in which a bureaucratic stationmaster insists on levying the livestock rate for a shipment of two pet guinea pigs, which soon start proliferating exponentially.

In the letters Pierrepont receives advice for his different stages of life. Old Gorgon's advice is packed throughout the book, easy to understand, and still rings true today.

The narrator's accent ruins this
I remember seeing the old Disney cartoon as a kid with used this story as a basis for its plot. So I was delighted to find a copy of the story being read here on Audible. Fired it up and hoped to be entertained for the 30 minutes that it took to have this read. Instead I lost interest at the 10 minute mark because the narrator either normal accent or what sounds like an exaggerated Irish-American accent ruins the story for me. I lost what was happening and the main gist of the argument with the various levels of bureaucracy at the home office. I didn't even realize the story ended until I heard the "this was audible..." tag.
