About this listen

Everything has just changed, and Eric is surrounded by faces new and old.

Following straight on from the climactic events of Peas, Carrots and a Red Feather Boa, Eric Sibley faces a completely new landscape. As he struggles to come to terms with his new situation, he finds support and help in some of the most unlikely places.

With the family dynamics constantly shifting and dramatically altered, Eric must try and rebuild a life for all of them. In the face of overwhelming odds, he is determined to turn chaos into order.

Unfortunately, this is easier said than done...when the most unlikely new arrivals turn up in his household, some more welcome than others.

While this is easily the most emotional book in the series, it is also brimming with Hannah Lynn’s trademark wit and humor. Prepare to laugh and cry longer and louder than ever before when you listen to this third installment of the Peas and Carrots series.

Peas, Carrots and Six More Feet

After the shocking conclusion to the previous book, I needed to jump right in to this one! I’ve definitely become attached to these characters. Check out how Eric handles his new reality and watch out for the shocking ending.

Another great installment in the Peas and Carrots series written by Hannah Lynn and narrated by Rafe Beckley.

Loved it! Need book 4!

I so did not see that coming with Suzy. While I was a fan of her, it was sad that she died. Wow! When it was time for the family to go to the funeral, I can admit my eyes did start watering. That was a sad scene (Nice job, Hannah!)

Again, the narrator is doing a great job. I have no complaints about him. I swear there’s something about the English/British accent that really makes a story great, the majority of the time.
I only had one comment. I couldn’t figure out why Eric was so upset that Suzy had never told him that her sister, Lydia, had given birth to a baby boy when she was younger (prior to finding out it was actually Suzy’s baby). He kept saying how she obviously didn’t trust him. Um… it had nothing to do with him. It happened decades prior. What was the big deal? Of course with that ending… I need book 4!

I received a free audiobook code of this story in exchange for an honest review.

Family! More adventure for Eric and Abbey!

What a great continuity of the adventure for the Series. How much has Eric Brown along this journey and Abbey is growing up as well. Then old friends come back into their lives like Lulu, and Cynthnia. We learn more about Lydia, and her mother. We find out what has happened to Suzy, and Flur her friend from the allotment. There are a couple new characters introduced Katherine and baby Mabel. I can't wait to see what happens with baby Mabel and her family situation. Will Eric and Abbey settle into their routine better and will Abbey continue to have trouble at school or has she turned a corner with having a counselor to talk to. Waiting for the next book in the series for all these answers! Once again another great narration!

Another great listen in the series!

This book picks up right where book two left off. Eric must come to terms with life without Suzie and find his new normal with his daughter Abby. This book could have been very sad as Eric deals with his grief and spirals downward. But help comes from unexpected places and there is enough zany characters and plot twists, that this is another entertaining and witty book in the series.

The narrator is the perfect fit in all ways. I have enjoyed this series immensely and wish there was a book 4 to continue the story.

He feels guilt for his wife's death and tries to find solace in the bottle. He leaves the funeral arrangements to his mother-in-law. Then at the wake, the woman who was instrumental in his wife;s death, shows up. After some stern talking from his mil, he starts to slowly pull out of the bottle and starts to focus on life and his daughter. Then he finds something out that his wife had kept a secret that is now causing issues financially. Rafe Beckley does a remarkable job of bringing these characters to life.

the story continues...

Received a free audio version of this book in exchange for a review. I enjoyed book 2 and book 3-light reading; nothing earth moving but i would like to find out what happens. Not sure I want to find out bad enough to purchase the books bc there are tons of others on my wish list but I am not opposed to a free copy :)

Heartfelt Struggle with Humor

I received this book for free. I am voluntarily posting this review and all opinions expressed herein are my own.

This is the third book in the Peas and Carrots series. It is not a standalone book and ends on a cliffhanger. In order to truly enjoy and understand the characters of this series, you need to start with Book 1 - "Peas, Carrots, and an Aston Martin." I highly recommend the entire series.

Coming off the cliffhanger from the end of book 2, I was surprised by its outcome. Now Eric, his daughter Abi, and his mother-in-law Yvette have to struggle to put their family back together. This was written in a very real and touching manner that absolutely broke my heart. But, not only are they dealing with a loss, they have to deal with Yvette's husband's infidelity at the same time. While the humor is definitely still present in this third installment, this one, for me, was more emotional and more raw for the Sibley family. Highly recommend!

The narrator, Rafe Beckley, is the same narrator for the entire series and is perfect in conveying the pain and humor in this installment.
