Emotionally riveting

I was invested in the characters and their struggles within the first pages. The story weaves humor, sadness, fear, loneliness and accomplishment in familiar life events while evoking emotion in the reader.
The novel is relatable to women and men of many ages and life experiences.
I cannot remember the last time I read a book that reduced me to tears running down my cheeks on more than one occasion.

Excellent!

This is the 3rd book I've listened to by Hanna. She not only narrates beautifully but spins Love stories with heart!

Couldn't stop listening

Narrator was great! Made everyone sound different. Author is great. 2nd book of hers in 3 weeks.

The book was very good. Better through the second half. But standing ovation for Susan, my favorite reader!

Connection

I love Kristin Hannah’s books and always have a sense of connection with the main character.

This one hit home as I have filed but not yet finalized my marriage of almost 2 decades. Reminder that there can be a bright future and a new day after brokenness.

Kristin Hannah did it good!

This book was captivating. I was actually thinking it couldn’t be nearly as good as the Firefly Lane series but I was happily mistaken. The story line was excellent and Susan Erickson narrated it wonderfully. If I had to give a critique, it would be that I hate when narrators try foreign accents or, as in this case, a woman tries to use a “male voice”. While I understand it’s to show the difference in the character, it just always comes out so obviously fake it distracts me. Overall…I loved this one!

Not my favorite of Hannah's books but all of her books hold my interest and her characters are very well developed
Her narrators are excellent
I didn't give it 5 stars only because comparing it to her others which I thought incredible I just couldn't legate it to reach those
But she's a magical story teller and I truly enjoyed this book.
