Great book, not so great narration

Although the narrator did better on this book, than the last...she still makes the main character sound like an extremely boring person.

Louder please

The narrator speaks too softly. I couldn’t hear half of what she was saying even on full volume.

Enjoyed it

I would actually give it a 4.5. Even though you already know where the plot is going, it's fun getting there.

Christian Historical Romance

Man, the tragedies just keep on coming! But, at least God mingles some great friendships, growth in faith of believers and more believers added to the flock! There is always hope for a brighter future! Again, the narration was wonderful!

Excellent listen! not as Jesus-y as it sounds

I enjoyed this book even more than the first. I purchased Ruby not realizing that these were "inspirational." But, because of the historical context, the references to religion fit well with the story, which is sweet and interesting and wonderfully narrated.

Stupendous Story

A delightful story. The narrator has a lovely voice and performs very well indeed.
To the Author: The producer has done both you and narrator a disservice by using recording equipment that fails to filter out mouth noises.

Sweet series.

I listened to this book on a looonnnggg road trip which may have been a mistake. The narrator is a bit montone, but it may have been the monotone highway I was on. The story is sweet. The series is a good one.

I believe another could make it more enjoyable. the story is very enjoyable

Great book!

At the chapter splits, some of the novel was missing and the reader's pronunciation of the 'wh's was so airy that it was strange to listen to. Otherwise, I loved this book!

Pearl

This was a very special book. I do not want to describe the story as it needs to be read. It is my second time listening and am so glad I did. Had missed so much the first time going to sleep at bedtime. Now on to Book 3.

Now hearing the series for the third time and it is such a great series. 4/26/25
