Absolutely Amazing

I love this story the events the characters and the plot are just all superb

Lukens does it again

There isn’t a book F.T. Lukens has wrote that I haven’t enjoyed. But this one is one of his best works, and one of my favorite stories.

Each character has a distinct personality, as well and strengths and flaws. Our two main characters both have their own personal struggles that are true to life. Definitely worth a read.

Wholesome Read

A wholestome story that reads like a fairy tale. Highly recommend! Also, where has Kevin R. Free been all my life? The guy is incredible!

Awesome Narration, but story lost me and I couldn't recover

Narration was gorgeous! I've never heard of the one narrator (for Ellory) and was honestly blown away by their performance. Kevin R Free was nice to listen to and I'm always glad to hear his voice.

FT Lukens is a one click author for me. I own all their audiobooks, usually using a credit to preorder when I have the option. I also own the series not available in audiobook format so, yeah, I love this author.

Unfortunately, I did not love this book. It had some great qualities - likeable characters, interesting plot, immersive world building, nice balance- but the author lost me at the frat party with Hale. The purpose was to get a favor from the guy but ick... then IMMEDIATELY afterwards it was Nox's turn. Nah. I've come to expect better from this author.

Another top shelf listen

Lukens ability to weave a tale filled with bright quirky characters alongside a nail biting storyline had me enraptured the entire time.

Elloty's struggles with shouldering familial duty while also grieving their lost childhood is a very real aspect some people live with. Knox's endeavor to live a human life and getting to experience how it felt to be truly cared for the first time was written beautifully. I had this book on my wishlist since the release date was announced and I knew going in that like any Lukens book, I would have never been able to predict how the story would unfold.

I'd recommend this book to fans of Percy Jackson and Lukens other book, Spellbound. The mix of traditional magic and Greek mythology felt wonderfully intertwined. Definitely adding this to my favorites shelf

Your newfound faith in trust and love

This novel does so many things well that I don’t know where to start but I’m willing to try! First, this story does a great job of capturing the joy and warmth found in all forms of love; romantic, platonic, and otherwise! The themes of trust, belief, belonging, and faith are well developed and explored. This is such a fun read that I feel like I’m having fun right along with the author. I found the perspectives and voices of the characters align quite strongly with my ideals and experiences which is so cool and encouraging. And the characters are very grounded and real in their explored personalities and quirks. The narrative performance of this audiobook is top notch and I have no notes! I reveled in Knox’s character being so secure in his masculine identity while being so open to experiences and activities that are often seen through a gendered lens. This is so important author thank you so much!
