Great mystery, kinda lacking in romance

First of all I loved the story, truly and wholeheartedly. It had a great mystery with a hard to predict perpetrator. I absolutely loved the paranormal aspect, werewolves, fairies, sprites, spirited, witches, etc. and I loved that Cam didn’t get all big headed after he figured out he was a clairvoyant and instead wanted to use his abilities for good rather than to show off and be the ‘cool kid’.

The writer did a wonderful job of writing a teenager, as a teenager! The way the emotions were written were 100% in line with a 15 almost 16 year old boy.

There is only one huge disappointment in this book. With a title of ‘love at second sight’, you would think that romance would be a main part of the plot, but it really isn’t. Towards the end it delves a bit more into the developing relationship, but that’s pretty much it. And there is no insight into their relationship after it’s established as its establishment happens right at the very end.

Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely loved the plot and everything that happened, the end just came on so suddenly and I felt that there was so much more the writer could have expanded on. Cam’s relationship, his abilities, etc.

All in all it was still a wonderful story to listen to and would highly recommend!

Amazing Story Telling

I love this author, they did an amazing job. Did an amazing job of narrating story through the eyes of a 15-year-old coming into new stages of life. New school, new love, new supernatural powers. Did a remarkable job of making it sound exactly like a teenager in how they would react to the situation.
Not thinking things through, the half-baked, cringe worthy decisions making. Jumping to conclusions.
I cringed. I cooed over the cuteness of it. I held my breath in suspense.

A Paranormal Mystery for Everyone

As a long time fan of F.T Lukens work, I was very quick to pre-order this audiobook. And wow, I almost loved this one as much as Spellbound!

Ther Narrator did an amazing job bringing the humor and emotion into the characters, and the story was so unique and colorful with a main character who never wanted to be the main character suddenly finding himself the center of his town's magical community.

Top that with a mystery involving a murder? I kept being thrown for a loop even when I thought I'd figured it out! And Lukens has never disappointed with the awesome cast of side characters they write. Definitely worth the listen!

READ IT LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK

Dear potential listener of this novel, the time to start this book is NOW and I send you forth with all my blessings. F. T. Lukens only knows how to write CERTIFIED BOPS and hasn’t missed a single note in this latest story of uncannily relatable characters and delicious narrative. If you have read any of F.T.’s work then you already know- but for all first timers peeking through the cracked door of the club room, welcome into a magical, wonderful world that you won’t want to leave! By the second chapter you’ll be searching google to locate the next meet and greet to personally thank the author for entering your mind somehow and crafting a main character this accurate.

This is the worst book I have ever listened too. And that's saying a lot! The plot was no where to be found.This is supposed to be a murder mystery. The real mystery was what cliché wasn't included in this book. The characters barely even tried to solve the mystery and it was so stupid. I listened to the end hoping to God it would just get better but I was disappointed! It just gets worse! if you were thinking of getting this book just go to the library. Don't waste your money or credit on this!
