Coming of age, with a twist!
Decided to give this a listen simply because it was a "quick read". But I was pleasantly surprised that I ended up enjoying it. The Twist at then end was so Unexpected, I sat there with my mouth hanging open for a good 30 seconds!

Moving and totally believable

Great short story!
I love short stories. I listened to my first short story by Don Winslow yesterday. Narrated by Ed Harris. What a combination! Am now going through all the other short stories written and narrated by the same. And this one didn’t disappoint either!

Good!
Good, short, fast paced story. Takes place in the early 70’s with Viet Nam lurking in the background and the beginning of the high school drug scene very much in the foreground. Tightly written with a clear beginning, middle and end. I walked away with spine tingling, and skin in goosebumps.
