About this listen

In Stephanie Plum's opinion, toxic waste, rabid drivers, armed schizophrenics, and August heat, humidity, and hydrocarbons are all part of the great adventure of living in New Jersey. Out of work and out of money, with her Miata repossessed and her refrigerator empty, Stephanie blackmails her bail bondsman cousin into giving her a try as an apprehension agent. Stephanie knows zilch about the job requirements, but figures she can learn what it takes to catch a crook. Her first assignment: nail a former vice cop on the run from a charge of murder one - who also happens to be the irresistible macho pig who took Stephanie's virginity at age 16. This is the first in Evanovich's incredibly popular Stephanie Plum series.Don't forget to download the rest of the Stephanie Plum series.©1996 Janet Evanovich, All Rights Reserved (P)1996 Simon & Schuster Inc., All Rights Reserved Contemporary Contemporary Romance Crime Fiction Literature & Fiction Mystery Police Procedural Romance Fiction Suspense Comedy

I absolutely love Janet Evanovich and all of her story is in the Stephanie Plum series is my favorite. I just couldn't get into Lori Petty being Stephanie Plum. I don't know for some reason CJ critt is more Stephanie Plum to me. I couldn't finish the book I got like halfway into the first chapter and I bought the other one.

I love this book. I had to buy the CJ Critt one

Cute and fun book

What a fun book with colorful characters, and the reader does a great job. Even the supporting characters are interesting. It's empowering to read about a tough-woman character (especially when we're allowed to hear her thinking about how unsure she is) even though it's fiction.
