On the Wings of War is a m/m urban fantasy with a gay romantic subplot and a HFN ending. It is a direct sequel to A Vigil in the Mourning. Listening to the first book in the series would be helpful in enjoying this one.

Jono and Patrick’s European adventure!

On the Wings of War was another amazing action filled addition to the Soulbound series. The story was filled with epic adventures, snarky humor, and a few zombies thrown in for fun🙂.

disliked wades character he was annoying as hell. could have done without Wade being hungry every 30 seconds.

This series just gets better and better.
The world building is extraordinary, the character development is sublime.
...and then Gary Furlong comes along with his absolutely amazing narration skills and hits this out of the park!

Action packed

All the stars!!! That was the best one yet. This is not a stand-a-lone, you really need to read the prior books in the series. Okay so I'm having a hard time reviewing this without giving away any spoilers. But I have to say, there is a bombshell that the author drops and I don't think that ever crossed my mind. Okay so we are off to London on the search for the staff. Jono comes face to face with his past & the pack that exiled him. He does come full circle with them and one of the new pack leaders is hiding a deadly secret. The negotiations for pass through rights turns deadly, but eventually they secure same. When the staff is taken from the auction, off to Paris they go. What a bloody battle that was & there were times I didn't think everyone was going to come out alive. It was scary and kept me on the edge of my seat, biting my nails to the quick. Even though Patrick still can't say it, you can see the love he has for Jono. And Jono, unconditionally loves Patrick and would do/give anything to Patrick, even his own life. I also loved seeing Sage in full Dire mode. She was a bada&&. OMG, I loved Fatima, Spencer's psychopomp, she was awesome. Wade, I don't know how anyone can afford to feed him. And now, he has new favorite snacks and boy will he be disappointed when he finds out he can't purchase them in the States. I can't wait to see where we go from here.

The story is fantastic, the performance well done and the ending beyond great! Be ready to immediately start book 6 which releases on March 1, 2021!

A Must Listen

This is the fifth book in The Soulbound Series. You do need to read the previous books to get the most enjoyment out of this book. This author has done it again and earned another 5-star rating from me (I don’t give out many). This book is a little different in the writing but that doesn’t affect her writing style. A spellbindingly wonderful story that is written fantastic. The worldbuilding is complex yet understandable. There is a plot for the series, but each book has their own plot and subplots that tie in to the main one. Very entertaining and it was steady throughout the book. The characters are diverse and well developed and thought out. Patrick and Jono are the MC’s of this book. The secondary characters are wonderful and fully developed too. There was humor, wolves, shifters, mythology, gods & goddesses, snacks, mystery, action, zombies lots of zombies and so much more in this book. I was already wanting book six before I was finished reading this book. The narration was good and made the book enjoyable. I can highly recommend as a great read and listen. I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book for an honest review.

Amazing Urban Fantasy Series!

On the Wings of War is book 5 in the Soulbound series and should be enjoyed in order. I absolutely love this series. Patrick and Jono are so good for each other. In this story, Patrick, Jono, and their Pack find themselves across the pond in London and then Paris in search of the Morrígan's staff. They find themselves fighting the undead that just keep coming at them. This book is action packed and quick paced. And Wade, gotta love Wade. I didn't want this book to end, can't wait to see what's going to happen in the next book. If you enjoy Urban Fantasy you don't want to miss this amazing series. Definitely recommend!

Just keeps getting better and better

I can’t say enough how much I love this series and each book just keeps getting better and better which at times seems impossible and yet it’s very possible. I can’t wait for the next book and to get even more of these characters! I loved the action in this story so much. I love Patrick and Jono together and the pack dynamic. I just want so much more of these characters and their stories. The narrator does a fantastic job as always bringing the characters and story to life which takes an amazing book and pushes it over the top. I love the new places for them to explore and nee characters to meet along with more of some of the old characters I love.

Best yet!

This one has such great pacing and seemless action - do you need more of a sell than: Zombie Invasion and absurd amounts of property damage?
Furlong did an exceptional job too with attention to details (making Patrick have less accurate French pronunciation than Jono for example.)
If you've followed the series this far, you'll love this one!
