A signature can change everything...
Rather than silver, Randolph Van Ayers III was born with a platinum spoon in his mouth and plenty of strings attached. Faced with a list of specific goals he must achieve in order to earn control of his family's banking empire, he's accomplished each task and triumphed. One item remains on his list. He must marry by his 33rd birthday and stay married for one year. However, when his so-called fiancée leaves him on the courtroom steps only hours before his deadline, he realizes he might lose for the first time in his life, and a Van Ayers never fails.
Taught to rely on the universe for answers, Willow Day has always struggled in the material world, specifically her lack of material. With her small holistic store near foreclosure and without a home, she must do anything within her power to make the business work and take care of the woman who raised her. When the rude, yet gorgeous, Randolph the Third offers to fix all her troubles in exchange for one year of her life, she opens her mind and takes a chance.
On the Dotted Line is a full-length (90,000 + Words) standalone novel
It's the battle of the mystical over the money. Between a hidden pet who looks more like a cotton ball, performance artists with wings, and a woman who spouts advice like a living fortune cookie, everything from restaurant reservations to a trip to celebrate the winter solstice create clashes for the couple as they learn how to fit into each other's worlds.
With both their futures at stake, they must learn to accept reality, what the fates have dealt them and the consequences of falling in love from the moment they decided to sign on the dotted line.

This was an entertaining listen, told from dual POV's with lots of likeable secondary characters, angst, sex, humor, tender heartfelt words and bitter self loathing words, character growth, regretted actions and a twist here and there but, IMO, it would have been a far more enjoyable listen if it had a different narrator.
Worth a credit? Although I enjoyed this listen, I just didn't love it, it's probably a personal thing where some books grab you while others, for some unknown reason, just don't and I found myself caring that the H/H got their HEA ending but not really connecting fully with them. Nevertheless it's still worth a credit.

Overall it is a very enjoyable listen I just kept finding myself saying, I wish they had gone with a different narrator, she just doesn't pull off the emotion to me, other might not have an issue.
Good.

**AUDIO REVIEW **I was gifted this audio file, direct from the author, and I thank Kim for that.
Faced with losing everything, Randolph does what he does best, creates a contract for a marriage he knows will only last for 12 months. Willow signs that contract, to save her business, and to give herself and Nan the security they both so desperately crave. But things change, and a vicious ex bring it all crashing down around their ears.
Best way I can describe this, is delightful. Its a lovely story, told beautifully, and I really enjoyed it!
Randolph and Willow are such polar opposites and it made for a great little tale. Some amusing moments, with Nan and the dog, some embarassing moments for both Willow and Randolph, some painful moments and some passionate ones.
My review is for the audio version, and is narrated by Elan O'Connor. Now, I usually have trouble with female narrators, indeed, I have not bought audio books, or declined to review them, simply because they are female narrators. Let me tell you why. I have a hearing loss that is specific to higher pitch speech tones. And females tend to have a naturally higher pitch tone, so I was a little worried I would struggle. BUT!! I had no such problems with Elan's telling of Willow and Randolph's tale. Her voice is clear, and concise. The emotions of all the characters come across in all the right places, and each character was clearly defined and distinguishable from the others. I have just one comment, and this is the reason I gave the narration 4 stars and not 5. While all the characters had distinct voices, I found the male voices sounded like a woman trying to talk like a man. I know that is what is happening, it just SOUNDED like it. Does that make sense?? I can't word it any differently!
All in all, a well written, well narrated tale of opposites attract, and you really can have it all, with that little bit of work.
4 stars for the story, 4 for the narration, and 4 overall.
