A Great Story of a Girls Adventure!

I really enjoyed this story over all though I am excited to see the FMC interaction more with the Goblin King. This was so intriguing as a life long labyrinth and I loved this version! Definitely worth the buy!

beautifully written magical fantasy

I totally fell in love with the fantasy world created in this book! I wanted to explore the fairy realm along with Freya and Arrow. It captured my imagination and brought me back to some of my all time favorite fantasy stories - Labyrinth of course, but it also has shades of A Midsummer Night's Dream, and even Alice in Wonderland or The Phantom Tollbooth with all the different magical courts and eccentric characters - but with a modern sensibility a touch of heat! If you like the classics, and love the tantilizing tension of a slow burn romance, this is your kind of book. Can't wait to see where the series takes us.

Intriguing Realm

Intriguing characters with unique world building. This is dark and delicious. In a dangerous new land where frightening creatures exist, our heroine's faith will be tested as her views are broadened. And who knew how yummy a certain goblin king could be? Plus, the covers to this entire series are absolutely gorgeous.

it was mid. I've "read" much better...
it has great bones, but severely lacking a lot of what makes books make you want to read them over and over again.
I was bored most of the time and the narrators male voice just didn't do it for me.
I couldn't connect to any of the characters and it was very choppy. everything happened too quickly to make me feel any sort of way. I continued to see what would happen, but not interested enough to finish the series.

Fun and sweet

I'm not going to lie, I absolutely loved this. Great pacing, relatable and fun heroine, solid support cast and a sweet ending. Will definitely continue the series! :)

Great plot!

I liked how the story moved along at an exciting pace. Characters that draw you in. Excited for the next one!

Surprisingly Good

The cover art led me to believe this would be a fluffy story that is mostly overwrought romance. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this is actually mostly a fantasy adventure with a hint of romance.

It isn’t smutty, as I thought it might be, and the story is actually decent. I genuinely enjoyed this and was more invested than I thought I was going to be.

The good: the main character’s transformation over the course of the story is actually well done. There is a kind of allegory at work here that deals with themes of racism/prejudice. There is an awesome talking dog, the heroine is not overly stupid, and the pacing is great—I never got bored.

The bad: I enjoyed this narrator for literally every character except the goblin king. He’s supposed to be kind of hot and mysterious, and for some reason she chose to narrate him like a creepy old man. It’s off-putting. Some of the characters can fall slightly flat sometimes, and Freya definitely strays into Mary Sue territory a few times.

Overall, though, this was a very enjoyable, light, fantasy quest narrative. I’m excited for the next installment in the series.

This story transported me into the realm of the Fae. The writing style took a while to get used to but it was absolutely worth it.

It was an amazing book with a crazy twist. Reminds me of one of my favorite movies. The Labyrinth.

This was such a beautifully and clever written story. The angst you could feel from the Goblin King even behind all the trickery. The narrator did a great job only I wish there was a male narrator. I love the next book cover as well! Found family, new world, character growth and angst. No spice..,. But it’s not needed ….. yet lol.
