Perfection

I have nothing more to say other than A Darkness so Sweet was my most enjoyable read from 2025 (or at least so far). Emma Hamm didn't disappoint me, enthralling me from the first sentence to the very end. And I awarded it my LAC badge because it made laugh, get angry and even cry, labelling the book as one of my favorite reads from 2025.

I want to be a Troll Wife!

I really enjoyed not only the story by Emma Hamm, but also the narration. This book was so good and I cannot wait for more of the series to come out!

Loved the narrators and characters so much! Such a trollfully delicious story! Can’t wait to hear what happens next!

The hate to love

I love the story at first it was hate between them then it turned into love. You can just get caught up in the story.

Not my favorite but still perfect

As usual Emma Hamm has given us a great story. Both the male and female protagonist are wonderful but this time she has left us in an annoying suspense. I know I'm going to be watching out for the second book in the series. I hate that I have to do that
But I know it will be worth it because this book reads in a different way. No this book is not my favorite Emma book, mostly because I absolutely hate suspense, but as usual the female protagonist is a wonderful person that you cannot hate. The male protagonist is a wonderful person that you cannot hate and the villains are utterly detestable. This will be a great series, I hope. It has a beautiful and subtly unique plot. But Ms Hamm, why have you truncated the story of Maya and her Troll husband????? I kept waiting for the prophesy to begin to manifest... but nothing happened. I feel kind of cheated out of a happy ending. But obviously to me there is a lot in store to come and I ANGRILY await the second book.

This is going in my favorites shelf and I will definitely be pre-ordering the next audiobook in the series whenever it pops up 🥰.
