About this listen

Alright, let’s dive right into the question on everyone’s mind: Can you really be a Christian and a nudist? Short answer: Absolutely. But I get it—this probably isn’t a topic that comes up in your average Sunday school class. And you’re probably wondering how in the world those two things fit together. Trust me, you’re not alone. As a lifelong Christian and someone who loves nothing more than shedding my clothes and embracing the freedom of nudity, I’ve wrestled with this myself.

Let me tell you, the first time I casually dropped, “I’m a nudist,” into a conversation with my church friends, you’d think I had just confessed to dancing on a table at a nightclub. Cue the awkward silence and nervous chuckles. But here’s the thing: being a Christian nudist isn’t about shocking people or rebelling against societal norms. It’s about reconnecting with the way God originally created us—naked, unashamed, and completely comfortable in our own skin. And guess what? The Bible has a lot more to say about nudity than most people realize.

Now, before you start picturing yourself showing up to Bible study sans clothes (don’t worry, that’s not what I’m suggesting!), let’s take a step back and really think about this. In the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve were created naked, and they were totally cool with it. It wasn’t until sin entered the picture that they felt ashamed of their bodies and reached for those fig leaves. But was that shame something God wanted for us? I don’t think so. I believe that shame came from humanity’s brokenness, not from our Creator.

So, here’s where things get interesting. As Christians, we’re constantly seeking ways to live in harmony with God’s design for us, right? And part of that design is our physical bodies—bodies that were “fearfully and wonderfully made,” as Psalm 139 says. So why do we feel the need to cover them up all the time? What if I told you that embracing your naked body, in the right context, can actually deepen your relationship with God and help you experience a sense of freedom and peace like never before?

I’m not saying everyone needs to ditch their clothes 24/7, but there’s something powerful about stripping down (both literally and figuratively) to confront all the hang-ups we’ve developed about our bodies. As a Christian nudist, I’ve found that letting go of my fear of judgment, embracing my body as a divine creation, and seeing nudity through the lens of faith has completely transformed how I connect with God, myself, and even others.

And listen, I know this isn’t the typical Christian conversation. Most churches don’t exactly hold seminars on “The Spiritual Benefits of Nudity.” But that’s why I wrote this book. I want to take you on a journey through the Bible and show you that nudity, when approached with respect, intention, and faith, can be a beautiful expression of God’s original design for us. We’re going to dive deep into the stories of Adam and Eve, King David, the prophets, and even Jesus himself to explore how nudity plays a role in our spiritual lives.

Along the way, we’ll tackle some of the awkward questions, address the stigma, and figure out how to navigate this path in a way that aligns with your faith. Spoiler alert: It’s totally possible to be a devoted Christian and enjoy the freedom of nudity. You just need to approach it with the right mindset, and of course, a little humor—because let’s face it, we’ve all had that nightmare of accidentally walking into a room full of people completely naked, right?

Grab a cup of coffee (or tea, or wine—no judgment here), and let’s get into it. Trust me, by the time we’re done, you’ll see your body and your faith in a whole new light. Let’s get started!
