About this listen

A war of magic. A legend of three elves. Darkness returns.

The djinn I unleashed is now my closest ally, and then some. Teamed up with a noble elf, we're all that stands between a dark magician and his quest to unleash the great evil locked away long ago.

We're missing one key to stopping him, however, and that's the third in the Elven-Trinity.

As we search for the third Sister, our quest pits us against an obsidian hell-hound, more golems, and a greater power than even the elves know how to deal with.

Oh, and we might find ourselves a dragon pet along the way.

Warning: Contains mature harem content.

The Odyssey meets Penthouse Forum

What story there is, comprises a thin veneer of plot wrapped around a core of sex. Everything exists to give more reasons for sex. Magic? Sex. Hungry? Sex. Tired? Right away sex. Danger? Believe it or not, also sex. Almost everyone is attacking or having sex with the mc, some both. Pretty sure the main purpose of the horns and wings is to give more options when describing what quivers and glows during sex. A themed erotic novel, much more than a fantasy with erotic elements. As it is more fair to judge it as an erotic novel, it is relatively decent; if a bit uncreative, superficial, and repetitive in the actual sex scenes. Miscategorized by Audible/Amazon with tags like classic fantasy epic sword and sorcery. Two of those tags should be sex, one fantasy, and the last erotic.

I didn't enjoy the story as much as I could have, I don't feel a richness to the world or a reason to be compelled. Sure there is sex and who doesn't like harem adventure. Stories are a series of events but this book seems to jump between loosely strung events too quickly. Maybe that is the way that it was written, I think this book's written for adolescents. it's possible it's the narrator's style of sentence reading that helps put me off this series.

I wouldn't purchase this book

the mc is way to arrogant for his own good he goes up against centuries old mages and acts like he is gods gift to humanity, and the constant mention of making a mental note is starting to get old fast

meh at best

The story is serviceable, nothing spectacular but enough to keep me awake on my long commute.

Biggest down side is the narrator, Mr Barnabas. While he puts effort into bring emotion to the voices of the characters I find that everytime he does a male main character they come off as whiny and simpering. Same thing occured in Mike Truk's books.

I fully understand that how a character is written and the words the authur puts down plays a part but an unsure, character lacking conviction or confidence always comes across as this whiny needy person.

This is prime example of the fact that what is said is less important at times that how it's said.

Sigh
