Very intriguing from the start.

I rate the book a 5 star as the intrigue gripped me immediately and kept me engaged. The book plot is fresh. There is some sexual scenes that may not appeal to sensitive listeners/readers but they are few, quick, and integral to the plot. The narrator was excellent as well.

Maddening but great!

I’ve heard this storyline frequently lately but not with this plot. Must have been good tho because I listened to the entire thing while cleaning between yesterday and today! I’ll be checking out more by this author! The narrator was good but think someone with a little more vocal strength could have performed the antagonist of the story.

What a story!!! interesting intriguing , so bold and scary at the same time. I felt all the emotions I think I even smelt and tasted the meals too lol

great book

loved it from beginning to end, this is a great free book would recommend it to everyone

It is a slow creeping ooz until the very end

This book was very atmospheric and sensory engaging. From start to finish you could feel the situation going on in the story. You could smell the rosemary, taste the German chocolate cake, you could feel the sting of the barb. While this story was not a mystery, we knew the villain from the start, Massey smoothly and with precise direction guided listeners thought the experience the characters were going through. Each character had their own point of view and you quite literally totally understood and sympathize with their emotions, desires and concerns. My only negative view is that I did not LOVE the ending. I needed a more satisfying closure that the author provided. I will leave it at that.

Narrator, Leon Nixon was excellent! He drove the story well.

The pace was good, not too slow, and too much detail but enough.
Did turn the speed up because of narration

Good Enough to Finish

Fast paced and kept my attention enough to finish it. I felt the villain’s origin story could have been built out more but enjoyable enough because of the pace.
