Acerca de esta escucha

Six thousand New Yorkers shot and 2,000 killed each year. This was the way of life in New York City during the late 1980s and early 1990s.

The city was losing the war on drugs. The epicenter of New York City’s crack trade was Southeast Queens, where the Supreme Team and their associates had ruled through intimidation and violence. The crack epidemic and crack wars that followed wreaked havoc on the citizens of those neighborhoods.

Having worked in Southeast Queens during the crack era, George Norris witnessed firsthand the decay brought to the community. NYPD True is told through a series of anecdotes and short stories, ranging from comical to dangerous. This autobiography combines the history of the Southeast Queens crack trade, the NYPD, and war stories from one of the NYPD’s most decorated officers.

Loved listening to the stories of a very courageous police officer, detective and sergeant. Big crew, cops, cop, buck.

Brought back wonderful memories of the Job

The name of the book should been “Confessions of an Overtime Whore.” The author talked about getting overtime way too much. The story bounced around quiet a bit as well. Great stories but was a self-celebrating to the point of nausea.

Just alright
