We need more romance from the male perspective!

Chris Brinkley is a great audiobook narrator so ai was excited to find that he is also an author. Its wonderful to hear a love story from the guy's side - great story with emotional depth!

OK women here is your chance. This is a story from a man's point of view a man's diary no less. Zack the story of us is exactly that his story for a whole year of his life. Yeah get to hear him talk about how when he meets her for the 1st time and the relationship. you meet his friends it is definitely a feel good story story I'm not gonna tell you that I didn't tear up a little bit some of it was tear up of feel good some of it was a bit of emotional at parts. This isn't a long story but it's definitely worth the listen.

What a beautiful story!

I knew this was going to be a great book but was blown away by the story. I could identify with so many things because they are things we all experience in life. That's all I want a book to do, is to make me feel. Chris's story and his narration were superb. Can't wait for the next book. 💕

Short and Sweet

This was such a sweet story from beginning to end. Chris Brinkley captured my heart immediately and didn’t let go.
This was so comforting and Zach felt like an old friend or favorite sweater.

Amazing

I love Chris Brinkley’s voice. I fell in love with it while listening to the Winston Brothers series. So naturally when I found out he was writing his own book I was extremely excited to listen to it here. This story is wonderful and beautifully written. It provided a view that we as women sometimes don’t get to see from the men who love us. I wish I could hear it for the first time again. And I eagerly await Mr. Brinkley’s next novel.

What a lovely, unique way to tell a story!

Knowing my love for audiobooks, Chris Brinkley reached out and gifted me this audiobook, written and narrated by himself. 

This audio is unlike any I've experienced before. Told entirely through journal entries (all addressed to the woman he loves), we begin with a January 1st entry, with Zach telling us of his complete infatuation with her.  Through the next entries, during the whole year, we see them get to know each other better, fall in love, fall apart (for reasons out of their control) and find their way back to each other. (The chapters are peppered with little special effects for ambiance. It's perfect!)

This novella is sweet, dorky and cheesy at some times, sad at others, but truly endearing! It's about love, but most of all it's about living - most of of the time we are dealing with things we didn't plan, didn't expect, or hope didn't happen. It's who we choose to lean on in this journey that counts.

I already knew Chris was a talented narrator. Whaddya know? He's a gifted writer too! 

Thanks again, Chris, for the gift of Zach's story! It was a joy to listen!

One of my favorite narrators, now one of my favorite writers

I am a fan of Chris Brinkley as a narrator and after this book, I am a fan of him as a writer. I laughed, I cried, I felt things deep in my soul and I was able to relate to certain parts.

It was a journey and it was wonderful. I enjoyed the story and the different emotions portrait in the narration.

I am so happy there are 3 more books and I hope more are on there way.

I believe in love again. I cried. I swooned. I’m in awe. There were sound effects! It was like the man was written by a woman, BUT HE WAS ACTUALLY WRITTEN BY A MAN!! CB can do no wrong. I was already a fan but I think my fandom has tripled.
