For Abby Renard, the plan was supposed to be simple - join her brothers' band on the last leg of their summer tour and decide if she's finally ready for the limelight. Of course, she never imagined that stumbling onto the wrong tour bus at Rock Nation would accidentally land her in the bed of Jake Slater, the notorious womanizing lead singer of Runaway Train. When he mistakes her for one of his groupies, Abby quickly lets him know she sure as hell isn't in his bed on purpose. Jake Slater never imagined that the angel who fell into his bed would resist his charms by promptly kneeing him in the balls. Of course, the fact that she seems like a prissy choir girl makes her anything but his type. So he is more than surprised when, after betting Abby that she won't last a week on their tour bus, she is more than willing to prove him wrong. But as Jake's personal life begins to implode around him, he finds an unlikely ally in Abby. He's never met a woman he can talk to, joke with, and most importantly, make music with. As the week comes to a close, neither Abby nor Jake is ready to let go. Can a sweetheart country songstress and a rock 'n' roll bad boy actually have a future together?

What made the experience of listening to Music of the Heart the most enjoyable?
I liked that it had a main character who was religious but normal!! Abbi really has a lot of moxi!!!Who was your favorite character and why?
Jacob ... he really had internal battles to fight.Which scene was your favorite?
***Spoiler**** When his mother died. I don't want to say any more because it will ruin the story .Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Yes, when Jacob's mother is on her death bed.Any additional comments?
This was a book that was a fun read. It had many emotions from many characters. This book was the first in the series but I did not read it first. I wish I had! The female performer was great ... the male performer needs to work on his "Angel" voice.Want more like this one!!

Rockstar romance wish a feisty heroine.
It’s just as sweet and swoony as I remember!
Feels coming from everywhere, just like the first time.
The narration was ok. Some of the voices were a bit exaggerated. The male narration of the female voice was
too clearly that, and it became distracting.
Overall the story carried it through and I love reliving this book that I read more than 6 years ago!
As sweet as I remembered!

🎶 What happens when a country angel crashes into the world of rock and roll? Sparks fly, guitars shred, and hearts find harmony.
Read if you like: opposites-attract romances, bad-boy rockstars, sassy heroines, found families, and emotional character growth.
🎶 Abby Renard didn’t plan to land in Jake Slater’s bed—literally. A mix-up at Rock Nation drops the sweet, virginal country singer into the chaotic, gritty world of Jake’s band, Runaway Train. What begins as a battle of wills turns into a journey of connection, music, and self-discovery.
👨👧 Abby is a firecracker wrapped in sweetness—a missionary’s daughter with a backbone of steel. Jake is the ultimate bad boy rocker, whose charm hides scars from a painful past. Together, they clash, connect, and challenge each other in ways neither expected.
💞 The chemistry between Abby and Jake is undeniable. Their journey isn’t all smooth sailing—Jake’s emotional walls and Abby’s innocence make for some intense ups and downs. But their banter, musical duets, and heartfelt moments bring a depth that keeps you rooting for them.
👧 Jake’s bandmates bring texture to the story, though they sometimes lean on classic stereotypes: the married one, the loyal best friend, and the brainy one. Still, their camaraderie adds warmth and humor to the tour-bus chaos.
✍️ Katie Ashley delivers a fun, fast-paced story full of sizzling moments and heartfelt beats. While some clichés (and a few too many innuendos) creep in, Jake’s emotional growth is a highlight, making the journey worth the ride.
🌟 Music of the Heart might not rewrite the genre, but it’s a satisfying rock-and-roll romance with just the right blend of angst, humor, and heat.
And Music of the Heart hit all the right notes.

Justine was great as usual, I don't know why they are doing more and more duel narration, I hate it, It's like watching a movie with two actors playing the same part. I think good narrators make the characters and just when you get used to them someone else comes in a messes it all up. Anyway enough of my ranting, Happy reading!!
Sweet Rocker Love!!
