For if they fail to find the killer, their dear friend may dance one last jig at the end of a rope.

Another good book. Great story, lovely narration, and looking forward to the next interesting installment. Recommend.

Love the investigation process

I truly enjoyed the step by step description and loved the mask ball the elegant description of the outfits. The sneaky drug dealing lady

Narrator

Love it but the narrator did not pronouncing “Magdeline” correctly. In Oxford, it is pronounced “Maudelin” for some strange reason. I can’t remember why as it’s been several years since I was constantly corrected when I visited there.

Loved it!

I absolutely loved it! I kept thinking I knew what was coming next and who did it and I ended up surprised and a great ride along the way!

The Narrator Has Grown

A very in-depth story, yet lighthearted and believable.

The narrator was too bubbly and I had to push through the first book…. HOWEVER, it IS excellent narration with the full range of distinctive accents.

Kitty, the main character is growing into a mature woman during the stories, so it was I who didn’t recognize that until now.

BRAVA to the writer AND voice actor!

Far better than you might think

Surprisingly pleasant listening especially at times of stress. Plot suffers from some confusion as to period accuracy (when was this supposed to be happening anyhow?), other oddities and huge coincidences, but rolled along nicely after slow start. Much fun overall.

Very engaging series

I’m definitely hooked on this light-hearted period mystery series. The writing is clever and the performance is grand. I hope there are many more to come.

Too saccharine

A decent plot spoiled by trite characters and dialogue. The romance takes too much precedence as well.
