Medieval Cozy Murder Mystery

This has a lot of twists in the solving of what actually happened. With the main character being a woman, in a time when women has little say or authority. Vivian struggles to get the men involved to take anything she figures out seriously. Narrator does a Great job with the various characters voices and the entire storyline.

intriguing story

This was a twisted one. I couldn't figure out who was good or bad. When the killer was revealed I was gobsmacked. Vivian finds some sparks of romance too. Engaging characters with an captivating storyline. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a great job bringing the characters and story to life.

Entertaining and interesting

Murder at Mablethorpe Castle by Elizabeth Rose is an excellent murder mystery. Kevin E. Green did an excellent job with the narration. Murder at Mablethorpe Castle is the first book in A Harlowe & Fitch Historical Mystery series. The story is entertaining, interesting, engaging, thrilling, a little romantic, and mysterious. The twist and turns leave you on the edge of your seat. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. Highly recommend

Make up your mind!

First of all, if you have to keep telling the reader that the heroin is "independent" you already have a problem. Second, if you have to have a woman of the 1800's wear men's pants, ride astride and practice swords with the men, you've telling your readers that a woman has turn herself into a man in order to be "independent". Third, women have always been security minded because of the obvious daily threats we have to live with so only a crazy woman, in that day and age would want to be completely on her own. Why can't modern day writers write about strong women without trying to turn women into men wearing a dress??
