great intro book

looking forward to reading more into the series. it introduced the main character well and set her up for the series. looking forward to listening to the rest of them. bought the whole series for 1.82 each on audible sale. so excited and happy to get them all!

The performance was excellent.

The story is interesting, the characters were realistic and the performance brought it to life.

Imagery and Intrigue!

I loved this book. In fact, I loved it so much I am already on book 7.
The mystery is great and the 1920’s imagery and vocabulary makes me so happy. Read this!!

Very interesting

I wondered if I’d really like another mystery novel set in the 1920’s. However, The flow of this mystery novel was well paced and piqued my interest; I really enjoyed listening to the narrator. Although I guessed the murderer at the beginning, I was not able to piece it together until about 3/4 through. I highly recommend this book and look forward to the next.

Very good period mystery

I enjoyed the characters. The descriptions of the clothing and jewelry. I also liked the idioms of the day. The narrator was great at the voices and accents

How Olive’s mind worked and how she was very astute and noticed everything that led to the clues..

Overall just OK

A little slow and lacks enough gravitas to be a serious defective story and lacks the humor to make it a fun light read.
