Bootleg Springs is my ideal hometown. I love this series and this collaboration with Lucy and Claire.

I love the idea of a town protecting its own. As one who grew up in a small town, I understand the frustrations. EVERYONE knows your business, REGARDLESS of how hard you think you're hiding your life.

But at the same time, EVERYONE is there for each other when the shit hits the fan.

The Remarkable thing that Lucy does, with each successful series and sequel, is her ability to maintain continuous growth and development of the story and every character remains themselves while still learning ad growing from mistakes.

Can't wait to start the next book!

Moonshine Kiss

I cant get enough of Bootleg Springs and their bootleg justice. I wish so much that I could actually be a part of this fun, lively, small town. From they Mayor holding secret town meetings all the way down to the Sheriffs wife ending up in a spot of trouble after some hard moonshine drinking. I was in tears of laughter. Cassidy & Bowie of such a lovely mess. This was the perfect best friend’s older brother romance! Cant wait for the rest of the series.

Best Bootleg book yet

This has been the best one yet.
Narration is on point as usual.
They have you laughing one minute then tearing up the next

Love how the Kingskey series expand each of the characters and their love lives together.

They just keep getting better!

Loved the progression of the overarching investigations paired with the push and pull of the lovebirds. I’ll be looking for the next in the series!! Now, where are my pajamas…

Another awesome story from Lucy Score. In Moonshine Kiss, we get to visit Bootleg Springs and hang out with the Bodines again. Lucy Score has quickly become my favorite to go author, her stories are extremely well written, captivating, funny, sweet, swoony and steamy.
You can’t help but fall in love with her characters and always wanting more!!!
The narration by Natalie Duke and Stephen Dexter us phenomenal.

Bowie and Cassidy - a beautiful second chance

This book is the perfect fun, heart warming, small town romance and it is filled with all the love, the emotions, and the connections. The narration by Natalie Duke and Stephen Kiss is perfect for these two characters. They bring them to life. Bowie Bodine is an assistant principal who lives in small town Bootleg Springs, WV. He has 3 brothers and a sister. Cassidy is a deputy sheriff in the town and is Bowie’s sister’s best friend. Cassidy has loved him since she was a little girl but 8 years ago Bowie told her he only thought of her as a little sister and that would not change. But now circumstances and the disappearance investigation hearing up changes things and restarts their HEA journey. Bowie and Cassidy are second chance, childhood friends sizzling chemistry perfection and watching them stumble through was fun and heartwarming. Most of the angst in this book is from outside forces which is an interesting twist. Bootleg Springs is just the most hilarious, heart warming, sweet, nosy, eccentric small town that ever existed. This hilarious romance has a little bit of everything - sweet moments, fan your face steam, painful pasts, strong friendships, crazy families, quirky town folks, snort worthy moments, a mystery, surprises, and so much love. There is an overarching mystery plot line that runs through this series so the series needs to be enjoyed in order. I am excited to read what’s next for the Bodine brothers.

glad I listened

Great characters, great town, fascinating mystery, stupid that they wasted so much time instead of simply talking to each other. Seems like it could have used a good edit as there was a lot of fill and it really should have been significantly shorter, dragged.

Favorite So Far!

I’m loving the Bootleg Springs series…definitely a series you need to read in order. Moonshine Kiss is my FAVORITE so far! The subplot (mystery) that’s been a common thread through all of the books really ramps up in Moonshine Kiss. And….is there a more perfect small-town, country, book boyfriend than Bowie Bodine? Absolutely not! And Cassidy, his sister’s best friend and deputy, is meant to be his.

I love that this quirky small town, Bootleg Springs, as well as it’s traditions, locations, and residents, isn’t so over the top that it loses believability. There are so many laugh-out-loud moments in Moonshine Springs…they often caught me off guard.

Stephen Dexter and Natalie Duke have risen to the top of my favorite narrators list…especially for books that call for a country dialect. I highly recommend this series…can’t wait for the next book!
