Great Story Bad AI

The story was fun and a good twist on classic characters. The AI was horrible. It easily hard to determine which character was speaking. The voice was monotonous. Numerous mispronunciations. I think audible should AVOID AI. I think it will hurt the authors bc the AI IS SO BAD. I almost gave up on the story bc there was a lifelessness about the narrator. The story was fun but the AI was bad.

Virtual voice was ok

This was a different start to P&P. Elizabeth and mr Darcy had not even talked when they are compromised. Interesting. Good jaff

Best P&P variation

This was honestly the best adaptation I've read so far, out of about 10 or so that I've consumed. The characters behave much more true to the original than any other that I've read. The love develops slowly, in the way I would expect both of the characters and of the way they're forced into marriage. The writing is also very well done, and while some may not love the overt "lessons" on marriage, as a twice married woman, I can appreciate the wisdom & truth in them. The performance is surprisingly not bad. The computer voice struggles with a couple things (saying "dash" when a dash was included in the text) but for the most part it's fine. Very slow but I listened on 1.2 speed which was perfect. Overall definitely recommend this version if you like a slow burn romance & true to character adaptation.

True to P&P characters

I thoroughly enjoyed this book!! It is as it says, a Pride and Prejudice variation. Basically, they took known characters and ran with a different storyline. Admittedly, it took me a little while to get into it but now I’m disappointed it’s over. Highly recommend.

My first robot narrator

Overall, I enjoyed the story, but it seemed a bit longer than necessary. I increased the speed, but that made the narration sound more artificial. I enjoyed the insight into Darcy and Elizabeth's thought prproces. Some of the transformations of other characters were less than believable based on the original version of those characters.
As for the narrator, it was tolerable. There are some mispronounced words, and it reareads a --, as a word, "dash." The narration also has a minimal amount of emotional expression. So that was annoying. Overall, a human, professional, reader is much preferred. I've come to really enjoy Stevie Zimmerman as narrator of the P&P variation. I consider her the gold standard for these variations.

AI reader could use a few tweaks, but the story was delightful! Will listen to this one again!

The Fateful Feather

An excellent vagary, I have had the opportunity to both read the ebook and listen to the audiobook. I actually don’t mind the virtual voice, at least the female one with the English accent. I will definitely add this story to my listen-to-this-again list.

Darcy poked in the eye by a feather

The feather to the eye causes Darcy to fall on Elizabeth in the middle of a crowded Assembly and he must marry her to preserve their honor. It is pretty tough going at first for the two, but they discover many things about one another and about life. Well written, but deserves a talented narrator instead of AI narration.

A Fabulous HEA Because of a Feather

The reason for ODC meeting was so different and the road to their HEA was so cleverly written.

Enjoyable Story

It is a nice story, well told and engaging, I selected without looking at the description since I didn't have time to browse, and was a very good surprise.
