Years after her ruin at the hands of George Wickham, Georgiana Darcy is a virtual prisoner at Pemberley as a result of her brother’s good intentions. Drastic changes have taken their toll, leaving brother and sister adrift from polite society.

Faithful to his vow to prevent further harm to his sister, Fitzwilliam Darcy has retreated from the few friends and acquaintances who still acknowledge him. Lonelier than ever, Darcy’s life is swallowed up by darkness until the day a young woman is discovered close to death on the estate grounds.

Unaware of her identity, Elizabeth Bennet finds herself the recipient of Fitzwilliam Darcy’s benevolence whilst she recovers from her own encounter with Wickham. Elizabeth’s presence breathes life back into Pemberley and its occupants, until Wickham returns with a nefarious plan to regain control of both Elizabeth and Georgiana.

Will Elizabeth fulfil her destiny and rescue Darcy from a desolate life or will the mystery of her parentage take her in another direction, leaving him alone once more?

A book that makes you want to listen without stopping

This book made me want to listen without stopping to see what happened as the characters overcame many obstacles. (Be warned there is a very evil Wickham and some abuse in this book.)

Great read

In this story Elizabeth is not mr Bennet’s daughter. She is his niece. She is kept hostage in a cabin. She escaped and was found by mr Darcy. She had no memory. Great Jaff.

Another excellent story by Brenda Webb

Having read other stories by this author, I believe she writes the best villains around! This story has several who keep you on the edge of your seat seeing if they will vanquish our couple. The story begins with Elizabeth found on Pemberley grounds, unconscious and injured. From there she and Darcy must discover who is behind her abduction all the while falling in love. There are several new characters who add depth and interest to the story and many canon characters who do not behave as they do in the original. This book is well worth the listen, Stevie Zimmerman’s narration is excellent and the story keeps your attention until the very end.

A little bit of everything

I really enjoyed this listen. There was drama, suspense, romance, emotion, and more that kept me looking forward to driving so I could find out what would happen next.

Excellent!

A reclusive Darcy discovers an unconscious Elizabeth on Pemberley grounds and rescues her, seeing to her care and recovery. I really enjoyed the love story in this tale, which took some interesting twists, especially regarding Elizabeth’s heritage. Typical villains plus a new one who added drama and angst—something that this author expertly brings to her stories.

Another fabulous narration by Stevie Zimmerman, and I’m so happy to have another of Brenda Webb’s books come to audio.

Wow! Everything I love in a variation! It’s mostly D&E with some angst. This one is a must!

I absolutely love P&P Variations that start somewhere other than Longbourn or the Assembly! This one starts at Pemberley which is where I’d wish all the new variations to start at. Immediately there is drama with D to save the day! My 2nd fav part is most of the story revolves around our fav couple! And of course a HEA!

Love This!!

A new twist on the P&P tale, but characters remain true, even in the epilogue. Of course, Stevie Zimmerman did a phenomenal job as usual.

Will likely listen to again and again.

An incredibly heartfelt story!

The extraordinary reading by Stevie Zimmerman brings an extraordinary take by Brenda Webb to life in this audiobook. The visuals presented by the narrator voice far surpassed what I remembered from first reading the book in print. It is a beautiful story of commitment and love and one that I will enjoy hearing again and again. Many thanks to Brenda Webb and Stevie Zimmerman for their dedication and giving us this lovely audiobook.

Mystery, abductions, memory loss, and isolation

In this non-canon variation, Darcy lives a very isolated life. On a late night ride, he finds a battered & bruised lady (Elizabeth). Due to these injuries, she does not know who she is but as she heals her memory returns. During her healingm Elizabeth gets stir-crazy and goes exploring via the passages in Pemberley. She discovers mysteries and desires to solve them. I love Belle and how she brings people together. There are mysteries in Elizabeth's life that with help of others get solved as well, but stand by for more abductions, villains and more. I love how Elizabeth brings life back to Pemberley and those around her.

I enjoyed the story but LOVE how Stevie Zimmerman's narration lifts the story higher & lets you get lost in it.

Not a fun listen, but a good one!

I had forgotten the storyline of this book, having read it so long ago. It does not follow canon, but Brenda Webb writes such layered, complex (and angsty!) stories that Passages is well worth the listen. I enjoyed it!
