About this listen

A heart-warming Christmas romance set in Cornwall! Perfect for fans of Trisha Ashley, Victoria Walters, Heidi Swain and Phillipa Ashley... Can Beth learn to open her heart this Christmas...? Between setting up her boutique and raising her six-year-old son, single mum Beth Sterling has little time for romance. When she moves her business into a cosy converted stable on the scenic Trenouth Estate, she finds herself clashing with the handsome but aloof owner of the estate, Tristan Trenouth. When the two are forced to work together, they grudgingly put their differences aside and agree to an uneasy truce that slowly blossoms into a strong mutual attraction. But with a young son, a fledgling business and a painful past to contend with, Beth needs someone she can rely on. And Tristan has demons of his own to face... Will they find happiness together in time for Christmas, or will the shadows of the past drive them apart? Teresa F. Morgan is the bestselling author of cosy, contemporary romances that are often inspired by her love of Cornwall.

rather delightful and thoroughly useful

so, nothing earth shattering here, but a very charming and cosy little Christmas story, perfect for the approaching season and just what I was looking for: engaging enough to be enjoyable but not gripping enough to demand focused attention. I was able to get so much shopping and organisation done while listening to this. made it all enjoyable - as it should be
Highly recommend as a relaxing, seasonal read. all the charm of a good Hallmark Christmas movie (without having to stop what you're doing to find another one).
lost 1☆ bcos it pushed any sense of reality into the purely fantastical towards the end (that whole Hallmark deal). I thought it was unnecessary to make things quite so pat; lovely, but completely unrealistic.
That said, I still hope to find other Christmas reads like this one over the next month. will make my Christmas prep so much easier
Ho ho ho
