About this listen

The US government has avoided using supernaturals in the past, concerned that public knowledge of their existence will pose greater risks than any benefits. But, after Missy agrees to help her Paranormal Branch buddies and one thing leads to another...the question then becomes whether Missy can somehow provide assistance during an international crisis without the world learning about her supernatural powers and abilities.

Meanwhile, when Missy interferes with sexual harassment at West Point by going around and putting everyone there on notice, she becomes the target. Controlling herself...doing things in plain sight which almost look humanly possible...that just might be her greatest ability.

A good fun action packed fantasy

Any additional comments?

I enjoyed this story. Unfortunately I have not had a chance to listen to the first two books in this series, but this story does well on its own. There are lots of characters so be prepared to keep track. The characters are interesting and the story is a fun fantasy with some good action and romance. The narrator does a nice job at using different voices to differentiate each character, which makes it easy to follow the story. The only criticism I have is that at times the author gets into more detail than necessary about the environment. I did not find that it added to the story, so at times it made me want to fast forward to get to the heart of the action. Overall I highly recommend this audiobook.

Fantastical, fun.

This series is out there, but it's hella fun. There is not a lot I can say without leaving spoilers which I seldom do as I can't stand them.
The narrative brings the story to life.

Mission Possible

I haven't read the first two novels in the series. A lot of novels start off confusing, but I didn't have any issues jumping into book # 3. I started the story a little skeptical by how the characters are focused on their appearance and relationships, but the story quickly picked up and we got to the meat of the urban fantasy. I thought it was a nice mix of pace and action that complemented the story well.

I haven't heard another story by this author, but I have heard the narrator before. Same as the other story, she's done a fantastic job.

Missy is at it again

This is Missy's first mission after completing her first year at West Point. She does a lot of good including helping the guy who tried to get her killed to heal by pushing a little magic into his leg after his accident. I love the interaction between her and Mike. He is so supportive of her and she does all that she knows how to do to support him as well. I was given this book in exchange for an unbiased review via audiobook boom. The narrator did not resonate with me in this book. I think perhaps two narrators would have been better one male and one female. There were a lot of male voices in this book and they all sounded like females. I also did not care for the husband and wife doctor team in this book.

The Adventure Continues

Wow, to be in battle and help out as much as she did and then return to Westpoint must have been such an honor.

Missy's First Mission

Any additional comments?

3.5 stars overall
Entertaining and enjoyable story.

I have not listened to the previous books in this series, at some point I will have to catch up. I don't think this affected my enjoyment of the story. It can definitely be read as a stand alone story. But I would start at the beginning of the series to get the full backstory.

Missy is an interesting character. Witch, Shifter, Cadet at West Point. Missy is one busy girl. Love that she is a confident but compassionate character. I hate characters that start out strong then dissolve into wimps. She doesn't back down from a fight, she refuses to let herself or others be bullied or used. She serves up some well deserved justice to a group of disgusting individuals.

This story is different than most shifter stories I have read in the fact that she is a female Shifter and in the military. The government knows about Shifters, but not the general population. Missy's abilities become an asset for her missions with the military.

There story started a little slow for me but once it got going it never slowed down.

Meghan Kelly does the narration for this series. She has a very distinct voice. Great character voices. This makes the story even more enjoyable. Clearly spoken with a nice even pace. A little to soft spoken for me times during the narrative parts. All the character parts are great. But that's just a personal thing.

Heated and Awesome

The Missy the werecat books are among my favorites. If you like action, steamy scenes and a kick as* main character this is the book for you. Missy is just amazing. This is one of my favorites books in the series.

Enjoyable

I really enjoyed this book. Not having read the first 2 books it was nice to discover I really didn't need to. The book stands on its own. I enjoyed the story, characters and mythology created. I did feel the story dragged at times, I found myself not paying attention sometimes. But overall it's a nice fun urban fantasy.

The narrator did a wonderful job. Great performance.

Great Addition to the Missy the Werecat Series!!!

I have read the previous books from this series and would highly recommend reading them before book 3 but if you decide to go ahead and start with this one, you will still be able to enjoy it and follow easily. It could be consider a stand alone.

Missy is an awesome character! She is compassionate, supportive, fair, and an amazing heroine! She can do incredible things with her supernatural abilities but she is humble.

She helps someone that has been out to get her for awhile. She also manages to destroy some scum bags that used to abuse women in the Military! They were horrible and deserve everything they got!

Missy actually does 2 missions in this book and rocks both of them! Nobody can get the information she gets without being noticed.

The narrator does a good job bringing the story to life.
