Fabulous story but…

I love Jen Calonita’s writing, the villains the heroes, the adventures, everything feels so fantastic and exciting, the adventure never really ends.

Unfortunately this audio was a flop, it felt like there was more than one narrator almost and that when it “switched” the line would be read over again, with better editing it most certainly would have provided a better listening experience.

cute, but needs editing!

This is a cute spinoff from the FRS series, but I think this recording missed a stop at the editing station. Many MANY places where the reader stops and starts over on a line. Someone really needs to clean this up.

Ho hum

You’ll really like this if you haven’t read any others among the recent plethora of Bizarre Academy books. Or if you are inclined toward the school rules suck persuasion. Or as proof that social institutions are the primary means of division and control. Or you are seeking to expand your list of twists on the most well known Grimm stories. We do learn that the conundrum of Robin Hood will not be resolved but our present hero is always right. And you might gain a renewed appreciation for the integrity of our present educational systems, wherever you are.

Audio editing issues

Loved the story and narrator did a good job, but the editing is terrible! The cutting and splicing is off, you hear the narrator repeat sections that weren't edited out.

Version Confusion?

As with the rest of Jen Calonita’s books, my daughter and I loved the story;however, the reader/audio editor made several mistakes. This sounded like a draft of a final performance including several moments where the reader repeated words or phrases for the correct tone or pronunciation.

FUN and light read!

I loved this story because it was just FUN and LIGHT and something that gets ready to tackle the next great drama or series or educational book. I would definitely re-read and re-listen to this anytime when I need a nice relaxing and happy break between more serious books and when one just needs to something HAPPY, FUN and LIGHT!

Recording editor was asleep on the job

There is something seriously wrong with the editing in the recording. There are dozens of repeats of recording, and you can tell that the editing is the problem because the repeated portions are often done with different inflections. I assume the file was not properly pieced together between sections.

The voice actor has some incredibly odd enunciations. Maybe it was done specifically to make the actor sound 12, but I’ve not experienced this with an audiobook. The enunciation oddities make listening uncomfortable because the actor sounds uneducated.

The story itself is the only reason this isn’t a one star review.

Skip this audiobook, read the book instead.

loved it

I loved the story. some of the traditional stories changed up a little, when referring to older siblings or past events. the only thing that threw me off was the edit in the reading, she would repeat herself or at some points mix up a word and re read. Not horrible just something I noticed. I'd say worth a listen I plan to start the next book now. 😊

A bad recording ?

This recording is odd. It’s like the unedited version. You hear her repeating line over a few times, the sound is off. You can hear the narrators mouth click when her lips get dry, because you have to have the sound up so loud because of the recording. The story is ok, but it’s no FTRS.
