About this listen

It’s quite common to struggle with stress and anxiety in everyday life. To regret things you can’t change. To worry about things that could go wrong in the future. But instead of feeling stuck in thoughts of yesterday and tomorrow, it’s possible to be more present in the rich experiences of today.

The key is simple: mindfulness.

In Mindfulness for Daily Stressors, mindfulness coach Rachael Kable shares practical and powerful strategies for managing stress in your life, and for cultivating mindfulness to develop greater resilience, energy, and enjoyment. You’ll get the chance to explore the tangled relationship between stress and anxiety, the importance of cultivating a practice of slowness and relaxation, common stress triggers that are easy for all of us to overlook, and more. Plus, Rachael guides you through mindfulness techniques you can start incorporating into your daily wellness routine. Over time, you’ll start to notice that the more you practice being mindful, the more your stress will seem to fade—and the more alive the present will become.

Discovering the tools and strategies of mindfulness has been life-changing for Rachael. With her engaging, compassionate Audible Original, it can be for you, too.

I really like the practical mindfulness ideas that I can corporate throughout my day. It was very helpful to have an emphasis on mindfulness activities that don’t take extra time during the day. These ideas are a great adjunct to a regular sitting practice. I found the reader, engaging and clear.

Excellent collection of tips for every day mindfulness.

Outstanding audiobook. The author and narrator was humble yet scientific. Using herself as an example was very engaging.

What stood out most is that it was uncomplicated install like a conversation.

There is some good information in here. However, it’s information that’s covered in the other books I’ve read or listened to about anxiety and being mindful.

There are also some odd moments at the beginning of the book. Humble bragging about going on vacation to Europe and how that can be stressful. How the author hasn’t had to worry about money but once she almost had to. Yeah, I can see how you are more capable of living in the moment.

I really enjoyed this. I did a few of the exercises and felt so good after. Her voice is so soothing as background noise too that I played at work.

10/10 soothing

I admit that I am not the best person to read a book like this. I do not like slowing down my listening speed to 1x and doing exercises as this book demands. But I do greatly appreciate the author’s ability to normalize stress and offer many different paths to helping us cope with it. She gave me a lot to think about.

Interesting

How practical the tips are to implement and how little time it takes to practice.

Practicality

The concept is good but the narrator was so distracting it was difficult to use mindfulness at all. Another narrator might be beneficial. Doubt I will try these again any time soon

Narrator’s voice was anxiety provoking!
