Where does Mind Game rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

The Ghost Walkers series ranks among my top two highest book series and audio book experiences. I am so hooked I am buying them ahead of my points in quick succession. I'm not too happy at the higher price over other books.

What did you like best about this story?

It was very well written on characterization. Real people, real reactions, no unrealistic swooning on either characters part. Caution and fear, insecurity, the whole gamut.

Which character – as performed by Tom Stechschulte – was your favorite?

Nicolas Trevane

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Nicolas Trevane has finally met, the only woman to take his heart and a one of a kind match when the dark and dangerous Dahlia La Blanc walks out of the bayou and straight into chaos.

Any additional comments?

Loved this book, so far I'm loving this series. Looking forward to the rest of them.

Christine Feehan is an automatic download for me. Love this series. I am a PR fan and this series is differently wonderful.

Still a fan. Love the ghostwalkers.

While I enjoy having two narrators, Tom Stechschulte does a tremendous job with both female and male voices.
The passion between Nicholas and Dahlia just jumps out at you. Nicholas's darkness is felt throughout the story by the slow deep cadence of his voice. You can tell that he would be a lethal man to cross.
Dahlia and Nicholas must figure out who is the traitor that killed almost all of her "family". These two go on a great journey of discovery while bullets fly and bodies pile up.
I will most certainly be listening to the rest of this series.

Loved it

Storyline was great, love the details of characters and location. Could have done without the explicit description of sec scenes

Too much sex

I'd grown tired of Ms. Feehan's Carpathians, even though I still buy them, but this series is exactly what I (and she) needed. I've noticed several people complaining how there was too much sex.. DOOD! IT'S A ROMANCE. IF YOU DON'T' LIKE SEX, DON'T BUY THE DAMNED THING!! Now, the review.

THE BOOK: fast paced action with plenty of external conflict. I read a book on goal, motivation, and conflict recently and i think Ms Feehan has mastered these concepts. Each character had a definite goal they were trying to accomplish. Each character had separate motivations. Once they got together, they altered those motivations to help each other and both of them still reach their separate goals. The convlict was all over the place. Internal. External. Romantic. A very solid story with interesting twists and turns. Ms. Feehan made me, as a romance reader, care deeply about what happened to her characters. I particularly loved the heroin. Dahlia was strong and very powerful, if unable to control her abilities alone, but slight and small and as delicate as the flower she's named for. Nicholas was the strong, silent type with a driving need to protect the heroin. The only fault I had with this book was the authors "head hopping." I don't necessarily feel that you absolutly MUST stay in one character's point of view through an entire scene, but there needs to be a significant emotional shift in a scene if you switch characters. Ms. Feehan has always done this with every book I've ever read of hers, so it's sort of her style. Given that she's a NY Times Best Selling Author, I think I can forgive her on that. :) Because of that, I can't give less than 5 stars for this story.

THE NARRATION: Mr. Stechschulte (omg! the poor child in kindergarten!!) Does an excellent job. I particularly loved his Cajun accent for Gater (which made me rush out and buy the next book in this series.) He made the sex scenes that much hotter and, though I'm new at listening to romance or erotic romance read by a male narrator, believe me, i'm learning to love it because of Mr. Stechschulte :) I noticed others complained about his accent or how he says some words, but I found it sexy and that it added to the overall effect of the story itself. I think he is the perfect narrator for this series and I hope they continue to use him. There was an over abundance of "mouth noise," particularly in the second part of the book. I don't blame Mr. Stechschulte for this though. I blame the production staff. It wasn't in the first half, or at least, not as much and I didn't notice it in the next book in this series at all. It was, however, slightly distracting so I gave the performance 4 stars instead of the 5 I really felt it deserved. I will say this, though; Mr Stechschulte can call me ANYTIME. Read the weather report. Read the newspaper. WHATEVER! Just do it in that sexy Cajun drawl and I'll gladly listen for the rest of the week... :D

Excellent Romantic Suspance

Basically the same story as the first one, which was disappointing. The first one was good, but progression would have been nice, and some variety. Well written, though, and the narrator was great.

Same story, different names

Narration type: Solo Narration

The Hero: Nicolas - he was special forces and had volunteered for a special project that centered around research and developing psychic abilities. They were called ghost walkers because they can get in and out of situations without making a sound. They used telepathy to talk to each other on missions. However, something went wrong, and their psychic abilities have become too strong and has caused severe headaches. When they complained that the scientist and general behind the project didn’t care when some of them died and others were tortured, they were held captive in cells. Until they escaped along with the scientist's daughter Lily. Now they live with her in her mansion, where they can be away from others and all the human thoughts and emotions that bombard them if they are in a populated area. They still go on missions, and they are also trying to rescue other ghost walkers from the program.

The heroine: Dahlia - she grew up in a research facility where she was experimented on. She was the girl with the most promising abilities, and she can do things with her mind that nobody else can do. She is capable of telekinesis, she can start fires with her mind, she is telepathic with great instincts, and much more. However, when she is around others, their emotions overpower her and cause her to shut down and pass out. The scientist that she worked with, Dr. Whitney ended up setting her up in her own home where she could be safe and protected, when she wasn’t away on missions. One day when she was out, she came back to find her home was invaded by men with evil intentions. A squad sent to kill her. The few people she was used to were murdered, including her handler.

The Story: Nicolas was sent to find Dahlia after Lily found some footage of Dahlia as a child. They could tell that she was a ghost walker like them and that she had unprecedented psychic abilities, and they grew as she got older. They were able to find where she was living, and they knew that Dahlia couldn’t handle human emotions so they knew that they could help her. Nicolas was a natural psychic anchor and just being near him would help Dahlia deal with being around other humans.

I read the first book in this series a while ago and I liked it. I forgot this was a military romance about enhanced psychic abilities (super-soldiers) and that is just the kind of thing I have been reading lately so I thought I would jump back into this series. I liked the thought of this one from the start. I loved the fact that the heroine has the best psychic abilities that are even stronger than those of the Hero.

This audiobook was in dual points of view via solo narration and was narrated by Tom Stechshulte. He is a good narrator and has a deep voice, though he does sound a bit older than the male Hero. Though for me to listen to 14+ hours of a Solo narration, should tell you that I liked him well enough, as I rarely listen to solo narration and when I do, I have to like the narrator of I will give up right away.

Firestarter!
