Excellent information

The first review almost steered me away from this book. Perhaps the copy he has is the 2nd addition and this is the 1st addition. Either way this book will soon be 70 years past when it was first published in 1954. Certainly it isn't the best reference for the most recent findings.

However, I would bet that the majority of what you'll find here is still quite accurate and very relevant. If you are into welding you'll likely learn plenty by listening to this book. It seems to be the most comprehensive volume available on audible. It would be amazing to see this book updated.

better than expected for technical content.

the narrator was fantastic. the material was really good.
some of the pronunciations drove me crazy though and the editors failed the narrator... silicon... silicone... vast difference. si-lih-kahn... not si-loh-cone... one is sand, one is augmentation material.
other than a few instances of this.
amazing job by the narrator conveying a very good. but very technical text to the listener.
you still need the print or another in print to reference. but this is a great companion resource.

ABSOLUTELY NOT IMPRESSED

I was following along with the book and the author skips all kinds of information, numbers and percents and they are different on the audio then labeled in the book. If you dont have the book you would never notice anything but the author skips so much important information. It just really pissed me off. I cant trust the author on anything he is reading.
